I think Gottfried got fired from AFLAC for making jokes about the Fukushima meltdown in the wake of a tsunami, not 9/11. The jokes *were* funny, but apparently AFLAC does a lot of business in Japan. 😢

@MattLieb - The 3 yr old sleep regression isn’t a regression so much as a progression - the only way you can deal with it is by talking to her and setting boundaries. I didn’t do that so we still sleep with our kids (6&4). But good luck with what you choose to do :) you can either accept that she just wants you to snuggle with her and do it (which is biologically appropriate) or you can set boundaries and do a bunch of connecting before bedtime and let her know that this is just how it’s going to be and give space for her emotions. Some kids can deal with it more easily, some kids have a hard time with it. This is now getting into individual kid territory.

Also worth mentioning in regards to Koreans and their solidarity with holocaust victims and Palestinians; Korea has essentially faced two instances of genocide and ethnic cleansing in the last ~100 years. Once at the hands of Japan after the peninsula was annexed in 1910 and then again during the Korean War where US and UN forces killed 2 to 3 million Koreans.
