Censorship can work, but only once workers control the state. In the 2000s, Cuba systematically censored homophobic religious broadcasting. Those broadcasters didn't go underground, they disappeared. In China today, content deemed to cause social disorder like dangerous challenges, food-wasting stunts, and reckless driving videos is routinely removed because a workers' government has the power to prioritize public safety over capital. We can absolutely censor zionists but only after we create a planned economy.

You guys need to rewrite and narrate Peter and the Wolf

Lars

I could have done with less apologising for covering Tucker and more analysing the interview. I felt a bit robbed tbh!

Did you guys hear Naomi Klein in convo with Matt Bernstein on this? Similar point on appreciating Carlson’s function (Klein and Taylor use quotes that he got on record, so she’s referencing his journalistic function here). But she places him within a larger ethnic cleansing project, strongman politics, failure of solidarity, etc. I found this helpful on thinking about the function of someone like him with sadness. https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/a-bit-fruity-with-matt-bernstein/id1693739175?i=1000767917217

Spin-inspired musical selection: Some of the iconic Bacharach songs came from the musical "Promises, Promises", including the ever popular "I Say a Little Prayer", covered by both Aretha and Dionne; and one of my personal faves: "I'll Never Fall in Love Again": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzQBOBoPg04

Also, shortly after "Xanadu" was released, a lot of the songs it featured became regular pop music on the radio. That's more musical-cinema than musical-theater per se, but it's around the same broad ballpark. I'm rather partial to ONJ's "Magic". And I'd like to dedicate it to Matt, Daniel and Adam because you guys are indeed magic  ❤️✨  Have ta' believe....  🎵🎶🎵🎶 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDmjEN-6ekE

I think Matt is correct that Ben Gvir is not doing Hasbara. He's not trying to persuade anyone of anything.

Sreekishen Nair

It truly is amazing when hasbarists basically repeat the lyrics to the show's theme without realizing it. I've seen it occur plenty of times in posts and comments online, but it's especially striking when it happens offline, like with that peanut-log of horseshit Fuckabee coughed out. We could make a game out of it, like slug-bug, or Pokémon Go or some shit.

I'm intrigued by what Matt shared about the cone/flag thing. Whenever Netanyahu or Daniel Hagari make their public addresses, the flags "draping" behind them always look to me more like hard polished surfaces than like fabric. It makes perfect sense that they're just solid scenery.

Hi guys Just wanted to say: No Thanks for the seedless watermelon 🍉, we usually collect and dry, then roast them and eat it as a pass time snack when watching films etc etc.

Happy to be here (from the daughter of someone running a fascist org in Israel), thrilled to be part of “the movement”

Shugoshin {Conchobar}

Never doubt Matt putting more effort into editing a sting/bit than it was probably necessary all for the love of the game of spite

I guess im in the minority of people who don’t see any problem with agreeing with many of the things Carlson says on Palestine.

NewTooshFatoosh

There is no monopoly on the virtue of fighting genocide. I don’t fucking like Tucker, Bilzarian, MTG, etc… but I sure as shit appreciate what they’re doing. Would people prefer they be pro genocide?

Rita May

It would have been great if the Huckster said that people should, "Pokémon Go to Israel."

Lindz

That was a great episode!

Toshio42

TUCKER: The US should stop sending money. ISR INTERVIEWER: You would kill Fiver?

T

C'mon guys, it's right there in front of you! "TUCK MY LIFE INTO PIECES THIS MAN WE DON'T ENDORSE"

T

Sorry but that statement isn't correct. They are against ONE genocide. They're totally in favour of the genocide of many other people including Muslims, disabled and LGBT people. Sure, they're less ghoulish on Palestine than your average democrat shitlib but let's not pretend they're principled anti-genocide activists.

T

"This thing didn't happen in South Africa so therefore it doesn't happen in this different fascist regime". Bro do you hear yourself? Have you *read* Herzl's crap about the antisemites being their best friends?

T

You guys also should mention why Israeli TV specifically brought Tucker on rather than a left wing anti-Zionist. When Tucker is a broken clock on Gaza, the liberal Zionists are able to mentally reject what he's saying because they rightly know he's a white nationalist POS. However if they brought someone like Hasan, or Ilan Pappé, or even Omer Bartov or Gideon Levy onto TV, the liberal Zionists would find it harder to reject their points out of hand because they can't pretend those people are white nationalists.

T

I think they'd have far less trouble dismissing Carlson though. The ONLY thing liberal Zionists can point to about the people I mentioned is that they're critical of Zionism and its associated genocides, and if that dam cracks then they run out of justifications. Carlson has myriad other reasons for them to discard what he says.

Jacob King

Serious question, does Tucker have an audience on the right?

Makoto

Speaking of Ben-Gvir, Barnaby Raine in last episode said he is “an Iraqi Jew”. I am today old and just found out there are only 4 individuals in Iraq as Jewish demography. Quick google search tells me that Iraqi Arab nationalists pushed all Jewish people out of the country. But it also said the most of those Jewish people went moving to Israel. That’s a great gain for Israel as far as demography control goes. Does anybody know some articles that expla@ins the Jewish displacement of Iraq from anti-Zionist perspective(meaning, facts) so that I can learn more about Iraqi Jewish population in Israel?

Verbose Minimalist

Carlson did a segment, when he was still on Fox News, about my friends and a group I'm involved with and called us terrorists for doing queer community defense. And even still, I think it's important to recognize that he is one of very few media people who actually pushes back against Israeli propaganda. And it really says more about how pathetic the rest of the media is than it does about him.

Jerty98

The Knicks are the most Israeli team, they was a guy in the front row in Madison square garden with a hat on that just had the Israeli flag!!
