2025 Wrap-up Post (Patreon)

Hi everyone, happy 2026! This year we've been busy with lots of projects—we released 3 games on Steam this year and released a new edition for 1 game!—and things we can't share in detail just yet, like localizations and such. So as a final send off to 2025, let's look back at some of the things we did last year~

National Park Girls: Love Our Parks Edition

At the beginning of the year, we released the Love Our Parks edition of National Park Girls, our dramedy visual novel series about the national parks coming to life as cute girls! The series was previously released episodically so this edition combines them all in one playable version.

OffKai Expo

Like 2024, we attended OffKai Expo and had a booth there! OffKai is always a really fun event for us and it was great to meet even more of you this time around. We debuted some new merch like the lovely Miho maid standee, the Twofold vinyl, and more.

And to think, just a few days prior to OffKai, we released....

A Tithe in Blood

Our first full release of the year was A Tithe in Blood! It's a dark modern fantasy yuri visual novel written by Suriko and illustrated by kobuta centered around a university student who discovers blood magic in the depths of her grief, setting off a chain of deadly events.

Upwards, Rain! The Post Office of Farewells

Our next release for 2025 was the expanded version of Upwards, Rain!, a cute puzzle adventure VN about a mysterious post office ran by birds, which now features an art rehaul, new side stories, full voice acting, and more. Upwards, Rain! was previously released for our internal game jam by the creative team from Twofold but has now been brought to Steam.

Lock & Key: A Magical Girl Mystery

Our last release for 2025 was Lock & Key: A Magical Girl Mystery! This game was in development for a while but we were finally able to get it fully finished in 2025 thanks to bringing on some new team members to help push it to the finish line. Lock & Key follows a pair of married magical girls on one last mission to solve a string of murders before their powers fade for good.

We also ran a successful Kickstarter for Lock & Key earlier in the year—thank you everyone who supported & shared it!

Console Releases & Localization

In 2025 we were able to bring Please Be Happy and Without a Voice to consoles, which means you can now play 3 of our games on most consoles (as Heart of the Woods is already on most as well). National Park Girls also received a simplified Chinese translation towards the later half of the year.

Fall in Love VN Festival

At the end of September we organized our very first Steam festival centered around romance visual novels! The event was a big success with over 200 visual novels from 100+ developers across the world. We even got front-page featuring for one day on the front of Steam!

With the help of our friends Lirie and Ran, we also held a showcase for the festival, which you can watch on our YouTube!

A look at next year...

2026 will be a challenging year for us for various reasons. We have a few releases slated for it—first off will be Our Home, My Keeper. It's our collaboration yuri visual novel with ebi-himes about a burnt out writer finding a faerie friend in the British countryside, will be releasing in the first part of 2026.

Witch You Want, our previously released cute yuri visual novel about helping a failgirl witch with her potion shop, will be coming to Steam soon! This is a simple port and will be close to the same as the itchio version and still free. But, wishlists are very helpful!

We'll be continuing development on our biggest game yet, Summer at the Edge of the Universe, a cosmic-sized solarpunk visual novel about a group of friends traveling across space in one last adventure before they part ways for good!

We're also continuing development on Rainbow Valley, another collaboration visual novel with YouTuber Izzzyzzz, about getting lost in a blizzard and finding yourself in a strange, distant town called Rainbow Valley.
