going to be a slow month + update (Patreon)

Update (July 15): We had to say goodbye to our cat this past weekend. We are devastated. I am attempting to get caught up on work from the past few weeks that I have been taking care of her and spending time with her, but there are just some things that aren't going to get done this month:

I'm not going to do the Collector stream this month. I will still do the artwork, but I need to be able to work on it a little bit at a time on my own schedule. I'll endeavor to post it, and the timelapse, by the end of the month. If I don't get it done by the end of the month, I will still backdate it so people who were subscribers during the month should still be able to view it (I think that's how subscription access works, but if it's not please let me know)

I'll also still be trying to get both author's commentaries done for the Scholar tier, but I'm going to combine them into one post that may be a little shorter than it would be if it were two separate posts.

I am not going to do a wallpaper poll for August. Instead, I will be doing one artwork that will serve as the cover for LINE and as the August wallpaper; I will do an alt version for the calendar. The subject of the cover/wallpaper will be Diana.

I am not sure if I'll be finishing CAGE on time. It would be a first in Familiar history. It is not scheduled for release until after the winter break, however, so I should be able to catch up then.

4X LINE should be releasing on time/schedule thanks to the efforts of Rogue, who wrapped up a ton of the chapter finishing for me. This chapter would not have come out on time without her.

Likewise, I'll be scarce on the server probably for a bit as I prioritize catching up and taking care of myself/my partner/our household. Klena has the bridge and I expect everyone to respect her (and the other mods) as they would respect me.

I can't thank Klena and Rogue enough for their swift action and support to manage and take care of the Familiar community and comic during this time. If you have any gratitude or kind wishes about this situation, please extend the gratitude (as I do) to them.

Hi,

I don't usually share much personal stuff here because I don't really feel like it's relevant to the content I produce. However, I just wanted to share that yesterday my beloved cat was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. They've estimated she has about 1-4 weeks. She's at home with hospice medicine and lots of care, but I don't know what the rest of the month looks like for me and whether or not I will be able to maintain the Familiar schedule during this time.

I already am planning to cut my hiatus short later this year (usually over dec-feb) which should allow me to keep to schedule, and I will still do my best to get the chapter drop out on time this month.

However, other "extras" like miscellaneous artwork and so on, and server interactivity, are going to be slow (or non-existent) while my partner and I work through this loss.
