Hi.For any of you just joining us, June and into July was a very difficult month for me on a personal front, and because of that I wasn't able to get a lot of work done on Familiar. In fact, for the first time since 2018, I actually lost a month in my schedule and did not get the pages for 4X CAGE completed. I had also hoped to get started on the Familiarversary print and didn't start it at all.That said, my hope is to catch up this month, both in working (hopefully completing) the pages for CAGE as well as finishing the thumbs for 4X VANILLA, the last filler chapter planned for Familiar. I had always planned for VANILLA to be a "silent" (no dialogue) chapter, so I think this is possible. Also, both VANILLA and the 3-part finale CHRYSANTHEMUM are all scheduled to be 2026 releases, so I will have my usual winter break to catch up on anything I don't get finished.Short version is, thanks for your patience, understanding, and continued support during June/July, and also I don't anticipate actually missing a chapter drop because of it.The Familiar publication schedule is still:

General update on Familiar, my work, and the state of nsfw content on the internetLast month was a rough one not just personally but professionally. lmao. As many of you were probably noticing/aware of, a couple significant changes occurred in July that pertain to adult content creators; between the UK's AV law and Itch's delisting and removal of a good deal of adult content, it's been quite a carousel of hell (carous-hell, if you will). At this time, my plan is to continue doing what I'm doing, delivering Patreon perks and posting Familiar on DD for free and here on Patreon; that said, I am not exactly feeling secure and am basically prepared to have to stop, drop, and roll at any minute. If this happens, you can and should always use my websites as the official point of contact/information about where I am posting and what I'm doing.In the case that that happens, I don't know what I'll do. What I do know is that without the financial support of Patreon, I won't be able to afford continuing to make Familiar. It is possible that I might try shifting to Subscribestar, Pornhub or Onlyfans, but I believe that if Patreon bends to payment processor demands, it won't be long before the other platforms are forced to do the same -- plus I'm not sure that I would be able to migrate enough platform to make it possible to continue.So, all that sucks, but TLDR: Thank you for your support now; I'll continue as long as I can; if Patreon folds, make sure you use familiarcomic.com and soushiyo.com as official information about where I am posting and what I am doing.EroticEffect promo winding downThe EroticEffect Jack + Rosemary colorway dildo promotion is winding down. I have been working out how to make UNOC into a sfw comic -- still spicy, still queer, still bdsm topics/themes, but not in a way that might get me fined or banned if erotic and/or lgbtq content becomes illegalified. I don't like having to rewrite a project to play it safe, but I also want to be able to make it and be paid to make it, and I can't get paid if payment processors throw me under the bus. So idk, it's a moral dilemma that I'm still working through. This monthThis month I intend to return to regular perks and work on Familiar. I am still catching up from the month I lost, so the "extra" artwork/illustrations might be in short supply as I prioritize the comic, the Collector-tier rewards, and the Author's Commentary. I am not sure I will be able to work on Soiree or UNOC at all, so I appreciate and see those of you subscribing at the Seeker tier and also understand if you want to downgrade your subscription this month (or indefinitely; I don't know what the rest of the year looks like, frankly).OK.
