Hi.

4X VANILLA drops end of the month! Ahh!

But was it really a break? I've been working on the series finale of Familiar all through Dec/Jan/Feb (usually my break) which is the only reason I'm still on schedule. I have completed 51 pages (of 91) total, with the first part done and the second part about 80% done. I don't foresee any issue completing the rest of part 2 in March, and it's maybe even possible I'll be able to complete the third part, too. But even if I don't, we're way ahead of schedule for the summer drops. So worry not.

For those of you who are new, the summary of Familiar wrapping, and what comes next, is that: the series finale is three parts and will roll out over the course of the summer of 2026, with the final part dropping end of September. I will hopefully, then, have all summer to begin working on the pilot of Unoriginal Characters, my new serial webcomic.

Is this the end of Familiar content? Unlikely. I like the Familiar characters too much. Whether this means illustrations, one-offs, or maybe even new filler chapters in the future, I don't know, but I'm not ruling any of them out.

What's coming after? For sure the new series (more info rolling out this summer), but I'm also working on some collabs (comics and otherwise) that I'm excited to share when they happen. But everything is kind of up in the air right now, and the Familiar finale is still my top priority. It's really important to me that I'm able to produce and publish the ending of this thing, because we all deserve it.
