A bit of item-building for my setting. I've finally landed on a way to incorporate cool guns into my canon! They're essentially fancy holsters for "wands", wands in this case being charged and tuned blocks of pure magic material that wouldn't be wise to try and fire off with your bare hand.

Expensive to make and tough to master, they're not replacing bows and swords anytime soon, but everyone will probably see a few of these in their lifetimes, the technology is taking off.

Landmine holsters allow spells to be activated remotely, good for deterrents and alarms.
