I'm at work right now but I just have to say this is THE episode of the season that I've been waiting for the most and I can't wait to get home to watch this!!

Sarah

I needed a break after watching this one... wow!!!

Randy

We've all been waiting 18 weeks for this to drop. The end credits hitting with the family pictures gets me every time.

Shugoshin

I kind of want to see you two watch Mob Psycho 100 and just laugh maniacally at that experience but yes this was also a spectacular episode in all of anime history. I like knowing things about the work that goes into animation and I still don’t know how studio Ufotable pulled it off. They’re so good at blending 2D with 3D that it’s so succinct and beautiful how they merged their talents with the manga’s original artwork.

Sarah

I can understand the anticipation. This episode was incredible. Also, how many different openings and endings are there in this season?

Sarah

Yes!!!! The animation is unreal!!! Re Mob Psycho.... would you be laughing AT us or WITH us? 🕵️

Shugoshin

It’s an extremely well animated show that can be misleading based solely on appearances….so both but really with because it’s an absolute gem of a show.

drink water

the temperatures rising for this show. I cant wait to see your reaction for the rest of this season

Randy

Demon Slayer generally uses 1 opening/ending per arc/season. The end of this episode they threw in a little something special though just to do the whole ending sequence of the episode justice and to match its tonality.

Oh I love this one! It’s one of my favourites from this season. Glad you guys felt the same way. The tenth form is called Constant flux, and the fire dance is called Hinokami Kagura. Hope this helps! 💕 P.S - Sarah’s face for the last few minutes got me! 🥹🥹 And I love how chill Adam looked even though he was excited about it. I guess he is the Giyu of the bunch 🤣🤣

Crimson

Ok now I need Sarah to react to Dr. Stone. It's not battle-heavy anime but it has several most wholesome and epic moments in anime history.

Adam Schulz

Not better than Haikyuu as a whole. But that episode was the best single episode I have watched (small sample size)

I don't watch Demon Slayer, but I saw Mob mentioned... you guys would LOVE Mob.

MegaRaikou64

Yeah this is the episode that really put Demon Slayer on the map. The tension, sibling bond, THE MUSIC, it was because of this episode I decided to get a keyboard and dive into learning amazing anime music. I'm also an only child so the sibling bond hits hard as I would love a brother/sister. I also I couldn't stop thinking about it for a couple days after. Just built different

The ending scene Sarah:👁👄👁 Adam:👀 He's gotta get the blood Lol Adam really took that main mission seriously😂

Sully

Seeing as Sarah is okay with the demons. I nominate attack on titan as the next mainstream anime to watch for beginners. For something more psychoanalytical to discuss then death note is the way to go. Ps. Love the reactions

Neko Cat

This episode is everything and more. From tanjiro’s explanation of bound, self-talk encouragement and flashback to the attacks within the music and the visuals … top notch. Also, watch the ending to appreciate the family portraits while enjoying the music 💕💕

Amber LaZelle

It’s the best ep of season 1 imo. If you can believe it, there are MANY episodes from later seasons at least as amazing, no question.

appols

The creator of the manga said they cried when they got to watch this episode and see how the animation studio turned their work into something so so incredible.

Girish

for me, season 1 episode 19 is one of the best episodes. Story + Music + animation is amazingggg. oh the ending discussion about the The blade/sword, it didn't grew back, Nezuko's blood droplets were on the blade and it exploded, so the explosion combined with Tanjiro's force from his hinokami dance, brother sister combo attack made it possible to cut his neck

MasterPpv

Adam, after another few episodes just to remove any potential future spoiler possibilities, you would love seeing one of the many animation breakdowns from this fight. The animation and art in this episode is mind-bogglingly good, and unlike a lot of cases where the more you know about how something is made the less impressed you become, this is one of the rare instances where the more you understand about animation, the more flummoxed you get watching it.

MasterPpv

By the way, a small detail to point out is that when Tanjiro finally slashes Rui's head, his blade still can't through Rui's neck. But some of Nezuko's blood has managed to fall on it (specifically, at 17:26 in the video), and it ignites when she releases her Blood Demon Art, heating the blade up enough to go through, like a hot knife through butter =)

Shaybay44

Impeccable episode!

Ashley hui

This is the episode that break the internet

Adam Schulz

You always have to take the main mission seriously

Petey Poo

Anyone else remember when Sarah predicted that the spider mountain arc was going to be straightforward? Well that statement aged like milk.
