I am in denial that we are already done season 3 😭 What a perfect ending 💕

Also, a huge shoutout to those of you who reminded me about the Shiratorizawa bonus scene. It was the perfect addition to an already wonderful episode and season.

You guys are killing me with these upload times but I love it. Who needs sleep anyways

For the record, Tsukishima did not plan for the final block to close in on the straight from the beginning of the match. This was something he came up with while he was at the doctor's office.

This was cinema. Beautiful reaction and analysis as per usual. I cannot wait to see the OVA and season 4 from you guys

grasshorse

getting this email at work was so rough 😭 have not watched the episode yet as im STILL at work but i cant believe season 3 is over... going to cry watching this episode later and then return to excitement for next season and adam meeting allllll the new kids!!! AND THE DRAFT!!

chaosdreamer

The imagery from that final rally gets me every time. 🥹 So much of what makes Karasuno work is how these individuals click together, with the upperclassmen (I'm including Tanaka here) providing that foundational support to let their juniors (also including Tanaka here 😂) soar. Oh! And I can't wait for the draft! Unless you bar him completely, you'll need to come up with something truly innovative to offset the absolute beast that is Ushijima Wakatoshi.

I always remember Kageyama's switch with Hinata from this rally! One of my favourite parts.

This is one of my all time fave episodes and such a great last episode of the season. Also I can’t wait for y’all to watch through the whole opening for S3, it’s one of my all time faves. I think the best part of watching your reaction was the immediate changes in your expression when ushijima hit that straight into Hinata, Tanaka’s save, the triple block, Kageyama’s receive, etc. Your faces literally changed from 😱, 😦, 😮 to 🤯🫢🫨

Who Really Cares

Fun little detail - the Shiratorizawa coach had said to his team in a previous episode that if they play a disappointing match, they'd be walking back. But in this episode, after the end of the game, tells them to get on the bus - i.e. it wasn't a disappointing match. (Would he actually make them walk back to the school, though? Idk haha)

There a lot of great subtle things this episode I love: -Tendo saying "farewell my paradise" because there is no team after Shirotorizawa that would let him keep his unconventional "guess block" playstyle. -Ushijima telling Hinata and Kageyama that he'll beat them next time even though hes a 3rd year, implying he will see them both in a pro volleyball game in the future. -Yamaguchi talking back to Tsuki more. At first their friendship was sort of one-sided with Yamaguchi being the follower, but he has some backbone now and its forming into a healthier friendship.

Girish

on the last play, do you think Tendo would have blocked it if he was on the court? He does say "shit" hen he realized hinata slowed his tempo

Adam Schulz

It’s such an interesting question. He tends to go early and on instinct, so it would be curious to know if you would have picked something up

oh god i might be an actual idiot ☠️ this is my nth time rewatching this series but i JUST realized that ushijima promising to defeat kageyama and hinata also means that he has THAT MUCH faith that they're going to meet in a professional setting in the future since he's a third year and this is his last high school match 😭😭

Eugene

My god. Can't believe we made this far now! Another milestone achieved. I was able to relive so many moments watching Haikyuu again with yall. It's been great. In the words of Ushijima san. I'm counting on yall for the rest of come! Cheers 🍻

Quan Nguyen

Will you guys react to the movie together? Will we get to see it?

Nightwing

I loved how they portrayed the continuous pressure that Ushijima was showing on Tsukki and Hinata at the end of the match and that it showed how Daichi, Asahi, and Tanaka came to their rescue them with their defensive and offensive plays to take the pressure off of them. Did you notice that the first members that they show after Karasuno winning the match was Daichi, Suga, and Asahi, the 3rd years who in their 1st year claimed that they were going to take Karasuno back to nationals. Also did you notice that after the awards ceremony that there were only 3 crows flying in the sky. I truly believe that they represent Suga, Daichi, and Asahi finally reaching their goal and that they are now truly free to fly high. What do you think.

Adam Schulz

Yes we will do that, but we will progress in order so if I’m not mistaken we will watch season 4 first

Quan Nguyen

Thanks for replying! By the way, SHINIMIGOGGY!

Saint
