If you had told me a couple episode ago that I would feel some compassion for Gyutaro and Daki, I would have laughed out loud. Wow!! That backstory hit HARD and made me really sad 😢 That scene of them in the in-between and Ume joining Gyutaro in Hell was really powerful too. I may have shed a couple tears.

The way things were left makes me incredibly excited to see what's next! I have so many questions about the Upper Six that made Gyutaro and Ume demons.... what is his deal?!

Here we go! Down the demons’ road.. wherever it may bend, the slayers see them at the end 😉 P.S - I almost cried when Adam said you guys could possibly watch Hunterxhunter and Fullmetal Alchemist.. like, those are some of my favourite shows.. Hell yeah!

Crimson

The explanation that accepted by fandom is all demon will burn in hell but why was Daki going to heaven? Because she didn't agree to become a demon, she didn't give consent. It's not her will. Well, cause she's burned. His brother desperately agreed to it to save her. So the brother actually took double "sins".

i like how makio's color palette looks like zenitsu's but she acts more like inosuke and suma's color palette looks like inosuke's but she acts more like zenitsu. also this is the last episode that i watched right before i dropped the anime so im interested to see what comes next.

Jesenia Encarnacion

Great ending for season 2,can't wait for allnthr jazz from season 3. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is a very good anime dark, gloomy, tragic and quite funny all around great anime one of the rear anime that is good in SUB or DUB,but SUB is better more emotional.

AustinMyB

Nah in my opinion the Dub for FMAB is better for western audiences and makes things more clear, and has top tier voice acting.

AustinMyB

I do think Demon Slayer over does the demon backstories just a bit some of them don't need it or it feels way out of place. But the Daki and Gyutaro backstory is great! Loved ya'lls reactions to this season and to whats to come!! Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood in English dub or HxH in the Japanese audio with English subtitles are both amazing reaction opportunities!! My profile picture actually comes from FMAB. HxH is maybe a bit much considering how early ya'll are in on watching anime(some complex very anime-esque parts) even though its incredibly good too, so I would personally recommend FMAB, but I'm here for whatever ya'll would watch

Jesenia Encarnacion

Yeah that's true but so far they have watched Haikyuu,X Spy Family,Death Note and some movies all in Sub,they seem to enjoy it in Sub

Franina

When you guys finish all the arcs of demon slayer you guys definitely have to rate it and rate your favorite arc. This season is a fandom favorite but some people love season 3 better. Season 3 definitely has a totally different feel from this one so I’m curious to see how the next arc will make you guys feel. I’m so excited for you guys to get into other anime’s as well. Hunter x hunter is a very popular anime and well loved so you guys definitely have to check it out ❤️

The storyline for demon slayer is simple but the way they execute it is PEAK. The way the writers find a way to make you feel for the bad guys is honestly amazing. Daki and Gyutaro are objectively bad people who deserve all the criticism they get but their environment didn't allow for them to exist in any other way. Their back story perfectly illustrates how easily your environment and upbringing to dictate the things you see and value in life and it's so disheartening but brilliantly written Knowing their backstory doesn't justify their actions but it does make you empathize them and hope they can find some semblance of peace in the afterlife

AustinMyB

Yeah I'm a fan of sub for everything they've done but for a potential fmab watch english dub is widely considered equal to if not better than the sub and it would be a fun switch up. Of what they watched so far the only thing I enjoy more in Dub is spirited away(the haikyu dub is laughably bad) and maybe Brad Swaile kills it as much as the og actor as Light in Death Note

Brian Wade

I'm always going to recommend "A Place Further than the Universe" even though I know it's likely to never win a poll. Despite its small fanbase, basically everyone who has watched it considers it a masterpiece, and in 2018 it was even featured in the New York Times 10 best international TV series.

And Adam was right about the muzan thing so that has his prediction rate at 100% and his aura at 20k. Will the streak continue, only time will tell... (it will die with attack on titan though lol)

AustinMyB

A great recommendation! A good choice if they want to check out something that focuses more on young women its a really quaint but also deeply emotional story. Its also short at only 12 or so episodes

Jesenia Encarnacion

1st time i watched FM,FMB,Bleach and Naruto were DUB but once i watched Naruto Shippudden and Bleach in Sub i was changed lol 😆 either one for them will be good

Now think about how angry and shocked Daki was when Nezuko burned her earlier in the season. Having a flashback to the last and most horrifying moments of her human life. Where she was 13, just to reiterate. When a "customer" tried to "take something from her" and she just fought back - totally reasonable, even though it seems brutal. Like what is a 13 year old girl supposed to do if a fully grown, trained to fight adult man wants to do what is done in the entertainment district. Also, I believe that the in-between doesn't show who those demons are. Well, not just anyway. It also shows what they see themselves as, because ultimately what we see ourselves as is what we genuinely believe we are, what our essence is. And while from a more privileged position it's easy to judge what he did, he - as you rightfully said - did what he had to. In a world where your only value is your beauty and where he's so ugly and broken that people are terrified by just looking at him, he'd never had a chance at even a normal job. Add to that that he went through at least thirteen or so years of being told and shown every single day that he's ugly, that he's worthless, that he should die. That's almost 5000 days of no compassion, no love, just hatred and disgust. This would break everyone. And looking at what he seems to believe in in terms of fate and rebirth I would assume that he believes that he's literally cursed to go through this time and time again. So I a sense he'd be cursed to *become* a demon every time, whether he likes it or not. He never even got a glimpse of what life would be and look like otherwise, so he can't even imagine anything else. Which begs the question if he really is a demon because he fundamentally is one or he really is a demon because no matter what he tries in future lives, his curse will always bring him so much suffering and pain that he'll ultimately turn into one. The outcome is the same but the reason isn't. And honestly, him saying that he'll always be a demon in the future (imo) stems from three things: him not knowing anything else, so he can't even imagine not being one, his seemingly infinite amount of resentment and pain towards the world, which has betrayed and beaten and rejected him and his belief in being cursed by the gods to be born like this. Again, because who deserves such a life so cruel if they aren't cursed by the gods? I think that he also didn't turn back into a human because at least somewhere inside him he didn't believe that he deserved it. And I believe that in his very essence he isn't a demon. I genuinely do. My biggest indicator is his love for his sister. Throughout the episodes but also in the flashback it is shown very clearly how much he cares, how full of love he is (despite the bickering and what not, which is normal human sibling stuff anyway) and the scene at the end, where he's full of regret and intentionally tries to scare away the one thing that he's proud of, the one thing that started healing his sense of inferiority, the person who he started working to create a better life for, the one who gave his life meaning. We have been shown countless times how demons are. Calculated, selfish, evil, a true demon would not have cried out for their sibling with their last breath alive. A true demon would not have been willing to go into the fire of hell alone to save another one. A true demon would not have acted so much like a human, simply because they can't. His story is such a tragic one. He was sadistic and did really really evil things and enjoyed them but someone who feels like every insult in the world was created just for them, someone who is considered a punishment for those around them, just because they exist, for them to not end up like this must be a nearly impossible task. And if you got one episode back, in the beginning he also just throws insult after insult at tanjiro, because that's all that he has ever heard, all that he has ever known. And he's insulting Tanjiro for being unable to protect his sister, which makes you wonder if he's really talking to Tanjiro or if he's talking and insulting himself, who failed to protect his sister and who this insults were created for. Tanjiro himself drew the parallels that he might very well have ended up like that and he isn't wrong. We can see how he's basically willing to die for his sister, to do horrible things to himself just for her and how he does things that he fundamentally doesn't want to (kill others, even though they're "just" demons). Now imagine if he didn't grow up in a stable household full of love. If the only thing he had known was misfortune and pain and misery. And if then someone approached him when he was the most vulnerable and promised him redemption and revenge, he'd probably have taken it too. I know I would, if I was in that situation. It's so beautiful how this show in general but also this season in particular helps us reflect on how we could have turned out, how good and evil are sometimes separated by one traumatizing event, how we who have it good are so incredibly lucky. We just had a full season where every episode we hated the demon(s) more than in the one before, how we didn't understand why they did what they did and why they said what they said. Just to be staring into the mirror at the very end and go "hold on, could I have been Gyutaro if things went sideways in my life? How am I so quick at judging others when they may never have had a chance?". Where other demons so far turned into demons out of jealousy or for pity reasons, he turned into one out of frustration because he had been beaten down by the whole world for his entire life and never had a way to release this frustration. He was just giving back. He was collecting from the world because fortune and misfortune come in turns, while he only ever got collected from and never really got any of the fortune. In terms of motive, he's one of my top two demons in the entire story and the other one we still have a long time to go to find out about their past. Like we'll see it some time in 2026 or 2027, that much time. Great reaction as always, I love how every time someone gets to this last episode they're just confused and sad because how dare this show make us hate someone's guts for weeks upon weeks just to throw this at us? It's truly heartbreaking. Oh and I can also totally recommend HxH and FMA:B. Personally, I like the first one way more but they're both very well done masterpieces and true classics of the Manga/Anime world. There's a reason why people are always recommended those two when they start off. It's usually one anime as gateway drug - for the newer fans it's often times Demon Slayer, for older ones it's a bunch of different series. This then goes into HxH, FMA:B, Attack on Titan (AoT, also a brilliant show), Death Note, Haikyuu and them from there diverges a little bit depending on the taste of the person. You can have more action, more story driven stuff, horror, slice of life, sports, adventures, power fantasies, comedies, futuristic, sad/tragic stories, fantasy, pretty much every epoch, more fighting or less fighting, gore, plot twists, whatever you want, there's multiple really good stories out there. My recommendation would be to think about what you like most in shows or movies or books, what you like most about the anime you've watched so far, stuff like that and then ask for anime that are kind of similar. If you just ask or poll, you'll always get the same, most popular stories. I could probably guess the next ten to twenty anime you'll be watching if you go that route. And that's like five or more years of watching if you do one episode a week (in terms of one piece which is brilliant and one of if not the favorite of all time of me, you'd be looking at 23 years of one episode a week just to catch up to the current point, lol). Which is fine, because the popular stuff is popular for a reason, but there's probably more anime per genre out there than there's TV shows in total so I think that tailoring your experience a little bit by sharing what you're interested in seems like a good idea. An alternative way would be for you to post the top 5-10 that you're thinking about watching and having your patreon subscribers describe each show with 3-5 or fewer words. Then you may get a feeling for whether you want to watch it or not.

Randy

Yea, the grand plot can be basic but the screenwriting/episode to episode writing is outstanding, especially making you connect with the characters.

Crimson

My recommendation is to not watch those "best" anime at the same time, cause your standard gonna be leveled up and you'd be bored by other "great but not best" anime. So if you watch AoT, I advised to watch other show that's not the best but very worth-watching to mix the slot.

StrawHatX

If you're debating what to watch next, then I recommend One Piece .

Fiore

OMG yessss HxH is my favorite anime and it turns really deep and interesting once you had the chance to meet the characters 🥺💕

MockingByrd

One piece and hunterxhunter are very long I would do Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood next. And that one I would specifically watch in english it has one of the best dubs

SDCWW171

I'm a massive One Piece fan, but jumping into a 1100 episode series is a bit much for a pair would've only seen a handful of shows. Its probably better for them to wait for the One Piece remake.

detmetrius demarcus bartolomew james III jr

if you want a really good complex but not too long anime. Id recommend Attack On Titan. Its considered the best written anime series by a large margin of fans(subjective). If you want a shorter action anime similar to demon slayer? Jujutsu Kaisen. An inbetween for me is 86. It's a very beautiful anime and has similarities to Attack on Titan in principle.

FTN Chicken

Oh wow, quite a few classic anime name drops in the discussion. Looking forward to all the future reactions

Ashley hui

i too shared a bond with Rengoku so I 100% understand what Adam said 😭

Ali Hassan Liaquat

I recommend Attack On Titan. It’s legitimately considered by many one of the best, if not the best, anime ever. It’s so good. And seeing that you enjoyed demon slayer i’m more than confident you will love that one. Plus, I feel like the story is so deep that it would be so nice to hear what you guys think about it as it unravels

Ali Hassan Liaquat

Yeah exactly!! But I would still recommend AOT over JJK 😊

Ali Hassan Liaquat

I feel like One Piece is not a type of show that you can post reactions on , (my opinion) it’s so long and sometimes takes so long to finish an arc that in 5 years they might have barely made it to episode 200/1100

Here are some other anime I would love to see you two react to! Vinland Saga - This was a life changing anime for me. Never have I ever been more impacted personally than by the characters in this show. Vinland Saga has a profound message that touches the soul in a way few things can. I don't even need to see you react to this show (although I would love to), but you must watch it during your time on Earth. Attack on Titan - A really grand, philosophical story with lots of mature themes. It may be the best anime ever made and it's my personal favorite. This is a must watch show. Jujutsu Kaisen - More simple in spirit than Attack on Titan. Has a very intricate world with interesting systems, characters, and villains. Centered around fighting/battles like Demon Slayer. A very entertaining show. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - (IMPORTANT. There were two shows created from the same manga. One is called just "Fullmetal Alchemist", and the other is called "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood". The one everybody watches and recommends is the "Brotherhood version".) It's simply a perfectly written show. It accomplishes everything it sets out to do without so much as a stumble. It takes place in an interesting world and has very compelling characters.

Vu D

At this point there is enough information in the show to piece together what Nezuko's ability is, but it's not easy to do so. I'll leave my take on it below if anyone's curious: Her Blood Demon Art is called Exploding Blood but that doesn't tell you that it only affects demons. That's why she could - burn Rui's web without hurting Tanjiro (allowing him to cut Rui's head without getting slashes by the webs in a mutually destructive last ditch endeavor) - burn the ropes on the train - burn the poison away It's basically a cheat skill for whenever the author needs something to happen to the demonic stuff without harming the humans.

Ames

Jujutsu Kaisen and Full Metal Alchemist brotherhood are my top picks for y'all. But honestly I'll watch anything you two would react to!

lex

Jujutsu Kaisen for more trauma

weezy

I love FMAB and I’ve watched both the dub and sub. I think for a react series and for all the scientific/complicated terminology that gets used I feel like the dub is gonna be a better experience watching for a first watch through. I love both though!

Talosig23

HxH's 146 episodes is very long, yes. One Piece's 1,100+ episodes is something else.

Chill Cucumber

Finally got Patreon just so I can watch this and Haikyuu. ❤️❤️❤️

Bill

Made in Abyss is the most emotionally charged anime I've ever seen. Ms. Kobayashi's Dragon Maid is great as a wholesome and hilarious anime.

Bill

To be fair though it's power is definitely not outside the scale of any of the blood demon arts we've seen in the series. In terms of sheer power it's well below the biwa player's teleport ability or any of the upper ranks. If your personality affects your blood demon arts then it makes sense that Nezuko's ability would damage demons while leaving humans unharmed since she's been conditioned for that. Muzan already said she had escaped him (so she no longer has his cells within her, like Tamayo) so if her blood attacks his then it would work on every demon while leaving humans unharmed. I'm betting it wouldn't affect Tamayo or her apprentice since they aren't affected by saying Muzan's name.

poppy p

Those are great anime, and I would watch whatever they react to. I feel like they need a break from all these intense drama action pack anime. I would like to see them react to something like Mob psycho or Slime. Something with a good mixture of comedy, action, drama

Laura Dias

My top pics for you are Dr Stone, My hero academia and Mob psycho 100. My hero academia is the biggest one out of them, so I'd recommend watching it twice a week. And Dr Stone is a really cool anime! I think you'll like it.

Laura Dias

Nah, they need some rest.

Yooniverse

Definitely Attack on Titan. It'll be be so much fun to see you both try to theorize & failing at it 😂. Its a spoiler heavy show though, try your best not to get spoiled
