At this moment, Beetlejuice's training block is my favorite. I feel like Tanjiro learned a lot of things that he can definitely apply to battle right away. Top marks for Beetlejuice (and I love how he's kinda jealous about Tanjiro and Mitsuri's friendship) 😊

The second lesson, however..... I have no words. I'm so confused!!

as someone who has only watched the anime, I dont completely undestand Sanemi and Genyas dynamic either, but I do think Sanemi loves Genya in his own way and that means keeping him away from any danger, so the fact that Genya even ate demons to be able to fight, in my opinion it drove him mad because he couldn't believe how far he would go and risk his life like this, to commit to a life that Sanemi doesnt want for him. Im not sure but i just think its all part of wanting to protect him even though he does it in an unhealthy and irrational way, lol. Also the next episodes are my fave! Im so excited to see your reactions ❤️

Guys when genya and sanemi said they were gonna look out for each other it was BEFORE their mom got turned into a demon and before genya said all those things to him you can see that he didn’t have his scar on the nose that was a flashback in the flashback so they really weren’t on good terms after sanemi had to kill his mom

Also sanemi trying to make genya quit is just him looking out for him from my pov like there’s gotta be better ways to do so but I guess since he didn’t forgive him for what he said after what he did to protect them maybe his pride is getting in the way so he’s more aggressive about it

Another thing we can conclude about Sanemi is that in the flashback we saw that he had an abusive father so I imagine that this violent nature of his comes from there, on top of all the trauma and basically fighting against demons for the past decade non stop. 3 Episodes to go, very excited!

In other words the true order of events went: them happy and promising to take care of each other ->demon mom kills their siblings and is then killed by Sanemi -> Genya yells at his brotber blaming him for what happened -> they separate on bad terms

Yes Beetlejuice definitely has a thing for Mitsuri,you can see a little bit of that in her flashback when he gave her the socks and a bit tell is that even his snake likes Mitsuri and he is mostly only nice to her and the Master.Everyone else he treats them with disinterest,rudeness etc

I can get why Sanemi is so harsh with Genya. I mean, he was just a kid himself when he had to kill is own mother to protect his siblings. That must have crushed him enough, and what does he get from it? He got blamed and called a murderer from the only family member he has left and for whom he put is own life at risk. I think that's also why he didn't trust Nezuko and kind of hates Tanjiro. He always believed that demons couldn't be saved, he had to belive that to try to go on from the fact that his own mother killed almost all his siblings after she's been turned. Seeing that the bond between Tanjiro and Nezuko was able to overcome the very nature of demons must have made him question the bond that his mother had with him and his siblings, like their bond wasn't strong enough.
