I have a lot I need to unpack about the occurrence at the end, BUT....

Even though Eren can be a little cringey sometimes with his declarations about defeating all the Titans, the boy is a source of inspiration. I can't believe how many of his classmates chose to be a part of the Survey Corps with him!!

Inocuous comment of the day - It's been years since the show started and a couple of years (maybe three?) since the show ended... yet no one outside Japan has figured out how to pronounce Bertoldt with a Japanese pronunciation. However, we've had funny interpretations... ;)

The first time I watched this, some of the things felt very surreal (like the Colossal Titan seeming appearing out of nowhere). You will have more such experiences as you keep watching. Rest assured though, it will make sense as the story progresses and more is revealed about the titans and the world!

The 2 major takeaways/conspiracies this episode. The first is that Eren has evolved from a ranting idiot with no self-control to a ranting idiot with no self-control that knows martial arts. The second is that the Higher ups have signed a contract with the Titans to fulfill their DoorDash needs.

eren was definitely being a bit cringey, but i think his loud proclamation in this episode was received a bit differently, a bit better, among the trainees compared to when he did it in the last episode. in the previous one, they just started training, they were young, it's easier to make big claim in that situation so most trainees didn't take him seriously. but 3 years of difficult training later and he's still saying that despite making top 10, his words held more weight now. on top of that, people knew he was from wall Maria, and he showed emotion and was teary when he proclaimed his ambition of killing all titans in this episode. i think this is why it moved people. he has big dream of advancing humanity coming from personal tragic past, conviction, commitment and courage.

Hi! I really love your Attack on Titan reactions. Since the story is so complex, it's hard to remember all the details after a whole week. I was wondering since one of the other anime series is ending soon, could you maybe do AoT twice a week instead of starting a new one? Totally understand if not—just wanted to share!
