Stark... 🥹 Frieren may have trouble connecting sometimes, but her belief in others is unmatched. The dragon scene was so beautiful, and we saw parts of this with Fern already in learning the defensive spells, etc. She is ready if needed, but she has faith in others and that is so empowering.

"Being afraid isn't a bad thing, It's my fear that brought me this far." is probably my favorite quote in this whole series, or near the top at least(there are alot of good quotes in the series, especially from Himmel). Plus the OST track aptly named "Fear brought me this far", is one of the most underrated songs of the OST IMO compared to more exciting/faster ones like "Zoltraak."

I love It!!! Stark Is one of my favorite characters

I'll bite. I saw Sarah's first reactions of Haikyuu years back. Stuff happened, wasnt able to follow for some time. Some months ago I found the volleyball couple reaction and I decide to start watching that one. I recently found out you guys are doing Frieren now, so I just gave in to temptation and signed up to patreon. Being able to follow the Frieren reactions with comments was too tempting for me.

Fern also had a debt she was desperate to repay to Heiter before he died - and she succeeded, meeting Frieren's standards as a mage. Fern is recognizing the similarity in Stark's motivation to her own, and wants to help him succeed too.

I like the reminder that a lot of time you can choose the attitude you take with the world. I like the changing a dangerous jurney to a ridiculous one and still keep the end goal the same. Life lesson I like to follow when I have extra energy. Otherwise sleeping in and keeping it simple is fine as well.

Aizen hit Stark instinctively. He didn't do it on purpose. His body just moved out of fear of the power and potential he sensed in Stark.

It is easier to notice when we watch the reaction videos, but I am sure you noticed how many times in just 6 episodes you mentioned life lessons that improve your outlook on life, your resilience when taking on challenges and most importantly your relationships. It's amazing that the author found a way to convey important, wide ranging life lessons that I've taken decades of experience and therapy to learn, in a few chapters / episodes. And most importantly, in a way that resonates with people deeply. I an in awe of the writing, as I've written a book myself to try and convey ONE thing that I'd like everyone in the world to think about - and this author managed to reach me in such a way that I've understood several life lessons even better. I imagine that this would be one of the most common desires of people who care about others: passing on information so that their lives are fuller and better than yours was, so that they can learn from your mistakes and maybe avoid needless pain. And this is compounded by the amazing team that worked on this anime. Also, it is interesting how the characters break some of the tropes of these fantasy settings. Eisen the warrior being a coward, Either the priest being "corrupt", Himmel the hero being narcissistic. And these flawed, quirky people defeated the demon king.

I love how much you all are invested in not just this show, but all of them that you’re reacting to. Frieren is such a pure show, I really think you guys would love Skip and Loafer or Horimiya (Tsuki’s Va is the MC) not a fantasy but a slice of life show.

the sound levels are much improved this week. thank you.

I’ve never actually heard anyone criticize eisen, and actually I do think Adam is right. I do suppose it’s nuanced though

I think Eisen was startled by Stark, maybe he didn't hear him come in or was distracted by a letter from Heiter. But suddenly having someone as strong as Stark, who can literally split a mountain in two with enough time, materialize behind you would be scary as hell for a seasoned warrior who pretty much needs to strike first ask questions later. Fight or flight instinct kicked in and Eisen has basically eliminated the idea of "flight" his whole life. Him being ashamed of his actions at the moment, or just confused as to why he attacked Stark, doesn't excuse him from not apologizing though, even if it meant tracking him down and doing it in person.

pretty sure Eisen hit Stark during training. Stark must have somehow shown a hint at how powerful he could actually be and Eisen, out of fear/instinct, without thinking hit him HARD. Adam is def right though, and you'll see more with Stark as the series goes on, Eisen 100% should have apologized or said SOMETHING to alleviate things instead of parting in anger. Edit: Also first thing Frieren does, IMMEDIATELY tells Stark he did a good job. such a good moment

No problem. We went back and changed all the Patreon ones. We couldn’t for the YouTube because of the copyright. But Patreon was ok.
