Season 1 is in the books, and what an ending!! I know I shouldn't have expected any answers, but I really expected some answers haha! This is too good, and I can't wait to see what comes next

I’ll probably keep posting this for next few episodes, but now that we are moving on to a new season: Please, everyone, avoid any and all spoilers in your comments. This includes any leading comments, hyping up of specific upcoming episodes, and hyping up characters they don’t have reason to care about at this point in the story. The last thing already happened to them this season - they didn’t really like Levi at his initial introduction, and commenters very quickly came in to tell them they were wrong and that Levi is amazing - therefore robbing them of ability to form their own opinion of him over time. Just be very mindful of what you are saying please!

Seconded! Please try to remember what it was like when you first went through the series, and how it felt learning about the characters in real-time. The beauty of any story-driven media is the journey it takes you on, and the experiences you go through from start to finish. Skipping steps in development in any way, shape or form, does a disservice not only to Sarah and Adam, but also anybody watching along for the first time.

Amazing finale and excellent reaction! I can relate to Adam's frustration with the brass... while they can definitely dispute Erwin's methods and have issues with the collateral damage in life and property, to try and act like there is no bigger picture in all this is so short-sighted. they're too used to the status quo and aren't thinking that something worse could happen. Also just want to point out bc Adam said Mikasa pulls no punches and i think you guys might have misheard this comment: the one who said Eren caused the mission failure was actually Armin! It took me by surprise bc I still had a "soft" image of Armin in my head bc of early episodes, but this moment really pulled my blinders off and I really saw a future Erwin in him. Great stuff

such a good first season, and its hilarious that its widely regarded that season 1 is the "worst" out of the 4 total seasons, which says a lot about the quality of this anime

Considering that end cliffhanger, be thankful you only have to wait a week. There was a 4 year gap between the end of season 1 and the start of season 2. It was agonizing for us at the time lol. For comparison, the other seasons only had roughly only a 1 year gap between them.

I'd point a gun at erwin too if i found out the whole city was being destroyed hundreds/thousands of people are dying and I didn't know about any of the context other than "oh its for humanity".
