I feel like the demon girl's power is a little OP, no? Not gonna lie, it's pretty cool though, and she must have been hanging onto those moves for a very long time.

This episode was so good, and this arc keeps getting better and better!!!

easily one of my top three episodes for this season

Leslie

Linnie probably could have beaten Stark if she hadn't decided to fight him near exclusively with his own (aka Eisen's) techniques. He's spent his whole life fighting his master in training. I can only assume she was prioritizing style/pride over fighting to win due to her own overconfidence. It's not completely dissimilar to Lugner giving Fern an opening due to his own arrogance. Also, I think Stark's hangups for the first two thirds of the fight was because of the techniques and his opinion that he definitely couldn't beat his master.

Just think DnD classes. Priests in this world are essentially clerics.

"Hero" is Himmel's title/class, just like "Mage" is Frieren/Fern's. Just pointing it out cause Sarah finds it odd when they refer to Himmel as the "hero" and not Frieren

"They're protected by the bible" 🤣 this is also easily one of my favorite episodes of the season - Fern is a beast

I love the animation detail of Fern actively favoring her impaled shoulder while fighting Lugner. Constantly leading with the other one. also, Stark is now 2 for 2 on one shotting a character or being he thought would kill him lol

Linnie also didn't have the same power and weight behind her blows as Eisen which ultimately is what allowed Stark to tank her hit to the mid-section.

Summers

Sailor Moon Frieren. I would love to see Frieren dealing with the Sailor Scouts. 😂

The moral of it is - just because you think you're going to lose doesn't mean you shouldn't do your best. It's hard to say who would have won if both Stark and Linie were actually trying but Stark definitely could have done much better if he hadn't resigned to not doing anything just because he thought he'd lose. You can apply that to sports, work, anything in life. If you're gonna do something do your best

Stories thru art

The necklaces your seeing are to represent that headless individuals family. There like crests, or markings to distinguish between different people. Remember guy in charge of the city, said his son was killed by Aura some years ago.

One of the interpretations of why Fern is faster than Frieren when using zoltraak is that Frieren modified and came up with this human version spell from scratch, but Fern learned it as one of the foundation spells. The speed of learning is different (like different versions of CPU processors)

This is such a great reminder that sometimes just getting back up is unnerving to an opponent and will throw them off. I've seen it play out countless times in sports. The side that thinks they've won with time left on the clock will be rattled and on their back foot when the next attack comes. The next episode is one of my favorites of the whole show!

Adam Schulz

I think just getting back up is the key to life haha.
