Here you go boys and girls. The first part of another chapter of what is (currently) my most divisive fic.

It's going to be a real interesting one this time. Lots of fun things are going to happen to it, fighting AND plot, and admittedly, I'm going to be venting a bit and lean on the fourth wall in one scene in particular.

And actual sexiness happens in this chapter! The kinky kind too! I'm making progress!

I can certainly see why this is your most divisive fic. Their relationship is so odd. Can’t wait to read the finished update though.

DJ

And what do you mean by currently being your most divisive???? What are you cooking up in your other stories for you to say this?

I'm just saying that my fics tend to force the general population into distinct love/hate factions. Happened with yawaleh. Happened with FFD. Currently happening in earnest with GAIWP.

They're interactions are so weird but at the same time hilarious.

I’d figure it’s the degree to which you’re willing to change things. You’re perfectly willing to alter characters, speculate on mechanics, mess with tone. To a degree, you’re experimental. When you think of how much fan culture is about knowledge of the material, and how many people are attached to specific attributes or interpretations of characters and pieces of the narrative, it makes sense that a willingness to change can spook some people. Sometimes, it really works for me as a reader, and, sometimes, it doesn’t. Regardless, I find you fun to read, and I figure it’s nice to have your perceptions of how things have to be broken every once in a while. You really did doom yourself with FFD, tho. Given the shared universe and endless magibabble, knowledge of the franchise really is such currency in that fandom. Just while speculating on writing a fic for F/SN, I’ve invested hours and hours into research, and I started the VN this week. “Interpreting the Nasuverse? Blasphemy!” Etc, etc

Most of the cast would just celebrate it as a normal holiday like the locals would. Not much of a difference there. The only exception normally would be Ghost who would be hiding in a corner waiting for it to be over on the count of his phobia of Chinese food. That said, if the Chinese calendar is that world's accepted measurement of date, then the Oogakari would not like it in general on the count that the males' feedbacks happen on the eve of a new annual cycle. They'd party with the locals for a bit before leaving early and spend the rest of the night nursing the hangover that is the aftereffects of their powers going haywire for a time.

They'd probably just go about their lives like normal. They have magic. The can easily just make themselves not get the virus via causality shenanigan's.

FFD Shirou instantly gets along with every version of Artoria with the sole exception being MHX due to her being too silly for him to handle. He would not be able to handle Nero or Mordred at all unless there was something going on for him to work on. That isn't to say they wouldn't get along, they would, its just FFD Shirou at his core is like an old retired man that just wants to sit on a porch and drink tea. Emphasis on retired. He doesn't like or want to get in the thick of things unless someone else throws the first stone, or punch, or noble phantasm. As a result, highly active Servants like Mordred and Nero wouldn't mesh well with him unless he's up and ready to "solve" something.
