Enjoy! Let me know if you spot any errors/things we should fix and I'll try to fix them before we go live on YouTube :)

Thanks for the early access! I guessed from the title that it might be Ryan Tedder.

Snoodle

Eye opening, i didn't know most of these were by him, especially Adele. Really enjoyed this 👏🏻👏🏻

Cas

At 4:50 - Gavin DeGram instead of Gavin DeGraw. Not a big deal. At 8:30 Lance Bass pronounced Lance Base. Again, normal MO :D A very enjoyable and informative video.

Ingrid

Such great songs! 😊

Marlene Sommer ☀️

I just leaned that Ryan has an amazing energy and down to earth personality! That’s another thing some singers should learn from him 😅

Gayle

The biggest take for me .....is they both worked with others. It's not an easy thing. Being so talented and smart, yet let others shine. Everyone deserves to be heard, valued. ✌️✌️✌️❤️❤️❤️😂😂😂

Elli

Interesting video, well done 🎶🎶

I only found out OneRepublic through Apologize (Timbaland remix) and slowly noticed Ryan Tedder writes songs for other artistes too but I just never actively seek info that he wrote/co-wrote so many hit songs! 🤯 I like that there's another video showcasing good songwriters-singers because we get to differentiate their distinctive styles. The interview clips give us a sense of their personalities too. Amazing content! Love this vid~~💜

I wasn't able to join the early access party this time, but dang it was nice to see notification of a new Roomie video 🥰

Leah Miranda

I love how we both were instantly jamming when Gavin DeGraw came up 😆 thanks for the video Joel, this has been the hardest week of my life so it was nice to sit and be distracted for a bit. ❤️

Lianne Conroy

Did I black out, I don't remember Ed Sheeran in the video? He is in the thumbnail. Did something get claimed?

Also you say it's going to be the max Martin video but the video on the card for me was the guess the songs from one word with Jacksfilms

Bua (mintteafortwo)

Yay, new vid! I missed the early access, but I'll go watch it now 🏃🏼‍♀️💨

Miriam

Ryan Tedder really is a great songwriter!! I remember watching that songwriting show when it was out in the US and even downloaded the Somebody to Love song lol. Enjoyed this video, I hope you plan to make more videos like this in the future! 🙂

Gayle

So, another thing....Joel, first I have to remind you of something really important. You are just as talented, amazing, and capable as the people you choose to admire. Second take a step back. Look at what you have found out about them. I see that same potential in you. ✌️✌️✌️❤️❤️❤️😂😂😂

Gayle

Another thing.... there's a distinct difference between confidence, ego, and hubris associated with each. Understand that, you have success. How do I know? I see it in each video, including the earlier videos looking at hit songs. You are happy in the videos, but somehow to me I see defeat. Since I see greatness in you, well that's just enough ✌️✌️✌️❤️❤️❤️😂😂😂

Amanda-Leigh

I do love videos like this. I get to learn about new stuff in areas I wouldn't normally come across 😊

Adina

Great video ❤️ If you ever get to Jon Bellion with this series I would be so happy, I love that man’s music.

Aunt Boris

I'm curious as to how much control a songwriter has once they sell/give a song to a singer? For instance is that singer than able to change lyrics as they chose? Or do they need to run changes by the writer?

Nina L

That hand-painted guitar is amazing by the way! a gem of an instrument

YES!! @Roomie , what Gayle said!! You _ARE_ just as amazing, and talented, and have just as much potential in yourself as the people you cover/make commentary videos about. We all see it in you…it’s part of the reason we all keep watching your channel. Please don’t feel defeated by other artists’ suckees. 🙏🏻 Because to us, you are just as successful as they are.

I noticed that too…the Gavin DeGram instead of “DeGraw”, and the pronunciation of Bass as Base. That one, I just took as being a “Joel thing”. The misspelling of DeGraw as DeGram is still in the public video on YouTube.

I didn’t realize that Adele song was written by Ryan Tedder either. It feels so personal to her.
