It have always got mad that the dude walks away in the middle of the conversation.

That boy is also in The Spy Next Door. He’s the Russian

I only listen to a handful of Taylor’s songs on a regular basis but this is my favorite from her country/pop era. Super catchy and genuinely sweet lyrics. Enjoyed the breakdown for this one 😊

Ornela

I don't listen to Taylor a lot, but this is probably one of my favourites as well (of hers), along with "Shake it off".

Thanks for your super nerd breakdown. Very enjoyable and informative. One thing I really appreciate in this song is how some of the quieter parts create anticipation for the crescendos. It is like she's thinking quietly then her longing bursts out.

Naomiskyyy

I listen and enjoy her older songs!

Thank u so much, loved this song break down too! 🥰 I like it how u point out details, that I haven't even heard on a song, we get to learn new stuff and I don't know if it's the Göteborg air or what, but u have such a nice positive and relaxed energy (not saying that u usually don't, 'cos u do, but it just feels like it increases in Sweden, idk 😅), that is very contagious and it's impossible to not smile or to be in a bad mood 🙂 I can so relate to that, if someone is in a relationship, it automatically makes me lose interest. And if some guy would leave their current girlfriend just like that when some "better one" comes along, what would stop him leaving me when the next better one comes on his way. Plus I always wonder about the women or men who chase people who are already taken, that it's such a bitch move to try to break up some couple just 'cos u think u are better than someone else or that u just want something and u are used to getting what u want... But yeah this was a cute music video regardless and like u said probably shouldn't be analyzed quite so deeply 😂 I hope u have a nice week ahead, godnatt 😊

This song always holds a special place in my heart - it made me a Swiftie 🥰 If you’re looking to do more deep dives…1989 has the best “deluxe version” tracks. Wonderland, You Are in Love, New Romantics…all amazing. Of her more recent stuff, “I Can Do it With a Broken Heart” is a stand out. Especially after seeing it live!

Ooh thank you!! These breakdowns always make me like the songs more! Appreciate it :D Also, I have to say, WOW. The thumbnail. Joel, it’s like no other! Surely you didn’t do that yourself, this is a master’s work right here!! The greatest thumbnail my eyes have ever feasted upon! It’s a masterpiece! Magnificent! Breathtaking! Simply spectacular! ;)

It feels like this week has two Saturdays:) thanks! Dancing or singing without caring about the quality of those — easy mood boosters for me. The hate to cymbals info was very surprising and interesting, and I liked the drums in the bridge part. And I have a confession. I never understood chords. I tried, but all in vain. I accepted that I’m just not capable:) And I hope you’ll listen to this song a lot, so that you’ll keep smiling. And the thumbnail is great, you thumbNAILED it!

Hi Joel, the white shirt looks good on you. And yes, I like how you did the thumbnail, it looks great. I must say, I am really enjoying this recent string of “music nerd” song breakdown videos. They have been so fun and informative. I also enjoy seeing your enthusiasm and hearing you sing-along during certain parts as you’re explaining what’s going on. Thank you so much!! I also agree with @JustSomeJK in her first paragraph. You look great…and happier.

Yeah the sing-alongs and playing piano are lovely additions in these breakdowns! That thumbnail looks great and I don't know if it's something that Joel meant as a joke, but I found it funny that Taylor is holding the question "You ok?" and Joel saying "Sick" 😂

So wholesome to see Roomie fangirling in between song analysis! We get to understand why and what makes this song your fave. I know there's been a good number of reviews between Taylor's Version vs Original but I'd like to hear your thoughts about their differences or any detail that you opined are really good or being overlooked. Or maybe about other artistes' underrated songs? Coz I felt that not many people discuss/talk about an artiste's other songs apart from the well-known ones. I mean only if you want to though. 😊 Thanks for this exclusive vid! It's a great start to my Monday and I've enjoyed it so thank you for the mood booster, Joel ~~💜 P.S. Here's your well-deserved praise: Thumbnail looks good! There's something comical on the question and reply. But かわいいね｡(cute. 🤭)

loveddd this song as a kid but yeah hearing it again as an adult sent me on the same morality roller coaster as you!😅 i also feel a little like i got subliminally messaged to by this video as a kid because my prom dress looked very much like the “bad” taylor’s😂 i was always partial to speak now but looking back fearless really had some bops like hey stephen, you’re not sorry, best day😭, the way i loved you! love “nerd time” as per usual lol (you on mix with the masters when) also… sick thumbnail👍🏻

Gayle

That has been a favorite of mine, I just never remembered it was Taylor Swift. Definitely don't remember the video. Remember you had said a popular song had an ear wig catchiness? Something that made it stick in your mind? There are so many in this song. The emotional rollercoaster is what gets me. It's a fun rollercoaster. The hope, the dream of what can be despite what is....just so magical. To find that one person who sees you as you. Just mmmmwwwha perfect. The analysis, loved it. I enjoy the nuts and bolts . It's fun to see you excited over each aspect. I also just enjoy hearing you talk, thank you. This was really lit?!!!

Shiny

Thank you for this very uplifting and informative video. I love your enthusiasm as well as your breakdown of the song . I totally agree with your statement about silly dancing! Dance like no one is watching ☺️

Yeah!! Like he used to in his own older music videos, that he has referred to as “cringe”…and a number of them aren’t on the channel anymore; instead, a lot of them can be rewatched on a channel called “Roomie Archives”. There are so many great videos on the Archives channel that I wish Joel would put back up on his RoomieOfficial channel!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🥰🥰🫠🫠 ** @Roomie , please put them back up!! They’re not cringey, they’re great fun to see you happy and having fun with your friends!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻**

Clair (Teampanda)

You missed the fact that the other girl was flirting with his team mates at the game, that was his wake up call!
