Hey Patrons!

Me, August and Jonas sat down a couple of days after recording this video to talk about our struggles, thoughts and ideas we had during the process of writing our satisfying songs.

We hope you enjoyed the actual songwriting video and we're excited to work on more videos like this in the future!

Watch the actual video here: https://youtu.be/M4NnwAwLqsM

Listen to the songs here:
Joel: https://youtu.be/3wtNKXvPYX4
Jonas: https://youtu.be/w7Eq9abQPBo
August: https://youtu.be/D6qS-lQhS-I

Also, if you haven't seen it yet, we have a poll up where you can vote on who you think should have won. Make sure to cast your vote!

🥳🎉What a treat! It's all for me on MY birthday today, right? Right! 👀 🔪

Sarah Faire

Looking forward to watching it. Today is going to be a terrible day for me and this will be so helpful :) BTW Joel, thanks so much for introducing me to Supermarket Flowers right now; thanks a ton, lolololol what a wonderful coincidence of fate lol

Stephanie Bruso

You wrote a great song 🎵 I love it so much

Mari

Wait the poll is rigged? LMFAO

Cas

I'm only 2 minutes into this and I laughed so hard I farted. TMI?

Juniper loo

Hahah love this, always funny hearing your guys banter. The songs were all rly good as well

Calize

Who wrote the best song kinda depends on the situation I guess. As a song that I would listen to in the background: absolutely August, no doubt. But when it comes to a full on pop song that I would want to listen to on repeat: Joel. What I like most is that the melodies and not super stagnant but varied and the ad libs which makes it sound more like a finished song even if the production isn’t perfect.

Maj Jen

This video is awesome 😄 loved all the songs

Sofía Reyes

This video make my day!! Thanks a lot four effort and time. I remember that you said that you are working in something amazing... and it's totally true!!! Amazing, awesome, magnificent, too good.

Karmas05

I've prefered your song Joel but I've had goosesbumps on the 3 songs. Really loved the video and congratulations to all of you really good songs.

Aubrey Danielle

Such a GREAT video!! Definitely would love to see more like this 🙋🏻‍♀️ your song definitely gave me “road-trip / take on the world” vibes! Loved it!

loonylovesgood

A poll? Oh no, I don’t know if I can choose. 😬 Also, love these DVD-style commentary videos! More of that, please!

loonylovesgood

Um. I think the poll is rigged, btw. 🤣🤣

MediocreAtBest

When they say "your vote matters" 🙃😂

MediocreAtBest

Love the dvd commentary style for this (esp the scream for a pause) laughed so much. Y'all quick fire so many jokes in regular conversation and it was just the right amount of light bullying between you three :D

Becky Lorion

I really loved the video and the commentary took it over the top and seemed like so much fun! I hope you continue to do more like this in the future and hope to see more of August and Jonas too😀 BTW, nice poll lol

Brandt

Really loved the banter between you guys! And yes, want more of your commentary, in depth discussions 😊

SpyroShurtagul

I really really really looooooved this video, Joel! All of your songs were satisfying and I agreed with Alex for the most part. Especially when he mentioned the chords you used. I remember hearing it and really vibing with that! I think everyone did great but I'm a sucker for good, interesting chords like that so I *think* I liked your song best? But it was a really hard choice! I loved them all

Shauna

So much content!!! I loved this :D

emy

This video was so original and surprisingly visually engaging. Knew this new series was gonna be amazing, and it is!

I commented on the regular channel video about the songs, but I have to say here that I find the culture of humility amongst Swedish people to be so refreshing. Living in the US, all the loud, self-congratulatory voices can seem deafening. I feel like I could fit in beautifully in Sweden given how I am incapable of taking a compliment without cringing and deflecting. 😋

It’s like a trick question - only people who didn’t vote for Joel would know it’s rigged. 😅

Elke

Love the video on your channel and love the commentary one here too! You three are incredibly talented. As someone who dabbles in music this was so much fun to watch.

Phoebe Grint

OMG I fell in the poll 🙊. But thanks for making me listen to all the songs multiple times, I'm not lying when I say I liked all of them. But Jonas's voice, I missed it 🥺 and I love his song. Can't wait for more videos like this!

Happy birthday, Sofie 🎈 Now I understand why your memes often make me laugh, April Fool baby 😂

Franzi R

It’s seriously impressive you made those in just 24 hours. They’re all great! I’d definitely put them on my playlist :D

Clair (Teampanda)

I'm clearly biased because I ranked the songs Jonas, Joel and August. I love how different Jonas's voice is and one thing you all forgot when looking for satisfying songs is the actual artists vocal! I love Joel's belting vocals and his uplifting notes and I like August's soft rhythmic tone as much as I like the lyrics and the melodies. Really enjoyed this video and extra for us guys 😘 chefs kiss 💋 all round!

AnovaSig

I loved the video. Will watch again because Joel ran a train on the vocals 😂 Btw anyone else play Heardle? Like Wordle but you know - music? Kinda wonder if it’s worth it.

Lisa Hontschik

I had goosebumps with Jonas’ song - I think the gorgeous core is there and it just needs so production. Unsurprisingly, I loved Joel’s song and the buildup was beautiful, and I liked his lyrics the best. August’s was very smooth and if we’re going purely on ‘satisfying’ (which I think Alex kind of thought was ‘smooth and relaxing) he rightfully won. Every one of these songs could be produced into a hit, 100%. I was certain that I would love only Joel’s, so it was really delightful to love them all!

Dorie

Loved the commentary here. The editing was awesome and made this so much fun to watch. Jonas’ voice sounded great and August’s song is really lovely. I loved Joel’s song. The buildup to the chorus was great and loved the gang vocals. But damn, his lyrics really gut me.

I originally watched the video (on the channel) while at work, so I couldn’t really pay close attention to the lyrics. But, after reading your comment here, I went back and listened to Joel’s song. I totally agree with you about Joel’s lyrics. Whether he’s using his own experience and heartbreak, or not, when I hear Joel singing (or saying) things like that…it just breaks my heart for him. 😔😔
