Airyckah Lane

It’s catchy.. and sounds like an intro to something more r&b like than your others…

naschpanda

Very chill.. gives me a bit of summer night vibes. I like it 😊

xtina 🖤

I like the timing -how you deliver the lyrics, nice chill vibes. can’t wait to hear more that you worked on with Nate. yay <3

Cas

I like the concept. Can't wait to see how it develops. Keep creating!

Nataliekey

I like it. Right now it sounds a bit more chill and lo-fi than your other songs but I really enjoy that 😊👍

Becky Lorion

Love the vibe of this one. Has a very nostalgic sound for me.

Mari

I hate to be this person, but I really, really don't like it. It sounds like all the generic shit on the radio that is easily forgettable and not something I'd go out of my way to listen to. Honestly, I would change stations if it came on the radio. It's just not good. I don't know how to explain it, but it doesn't have anything interesting about it and is simply boring. It's flat and monotone, nothing really pulls me in The lyrics got completely lost by how distracted I was with how much I didn't like the song itself. I don't know what you're doing, but this is absolutely not it. Can I ask what your music goals are and what direction you want to go with it? Right now it feels like everything is so all over the place and it's confusing. Having a distinct style that is your own will be beneficial and something you definitely should be focusing on more to figure out. 💛

x0_Kristin_0x

I really like it.... Sadly kinda relate too... Anyway, like this but yes I think it'll be cool to hear it with your spin on the instrumental.

That's ok, everyone has their own opinions. I don't agree with yours but that's a part of life. Just try to be careful with your wording. This came off very offensive. Some very loaded language choices in there.

Mari

Oh, I held myself back a lot. I'm frustrated because I know he's capable of creating such great songs. This doesn't sound like him at all and the R&B influence is out of left field after stating how much he doesn't like that genre a few months ago, so why make a song that's R&B sounding? It makes no sense.

JustSomeJK

I like the vibe of this song and the short piece of lyrics got me interested to hear more! Can't wait to hear what u will end up doing with this ☺️

emy

Oof, the lyrics got me in the heart right away. And as other people have said, the smoothness and the way you articulate the vocal line is 🤌 heartbreaking. The instrumental is so sustained right now, I feel like it’s washing over the detail in the vocal just a lil bit. I’m excited to hear what other instrumentation you have in mind for this. I love it already.

Trushakes

It's a vibe 😉

Aubrey Danielle

Ooooo! I like it. This is like Justin Bieber & Charlie Puth had a baby and I’m here for itttt. 😅 Definitely a vibe 😎

Elke

It’s got a nice vibe. Looking forward to hearing it develop!

Amberlash

Sounds like it could develop into something good. I like the training wheels concept. A phrase or term like that is is fun to me to work with in songs.

Stephanie Bruso

Sounds fun so far. The lyrics are little hard to understand though

Jen 🦙

The lyrics gave me shivers, very relatable. The track isn’t my usual style to gravitate towards but it works for the delivery and emphasis of the emotions in the lyrics, looking forward to hearing the progress in the end production! 😊

Clair (Teampanda)

Interesting... The thought of someone using 'you' to gain experience for their next relationship, it so evil! The term training wheels is normally associated with positive learning so to use it as a negative connotation gives it such a sinister vibes. It definitely deserves a darker less upbeat vibe, maybe more rock style where you can apply more oomph to the feels?

Melinda Young

Catchy, very chill. Like it a lot

Ave Castruita

I hear "your style" right there, excited for it to come out... Thanks for the update.

MediocreAtBest

I'll get songs stuck in my head just from reading a lyric line/a few words in something totally unrelated (it's annoying). But anyways, just glancing at the post title got Melanie Martinez's Training Wheels stuck in my head...so the familiarity with that song is kinda clouding my judgement here 😅 I like the lyrical concept you have so far, but the background music with it isn't really jiving to me yet.

Kat

As a teaser, this is kinda nice and has a lot of potential. I like the concept and I'd be very interested to see which direction it takes. I really like Nate's production, but I also totally understand making it more your own.

Helga 🦊

I’m not quite sure how I feel about it yet that’s why I’ll wait for the next update on it. Anyway thank you for the update and stay creative ✌🏼

Brandt

Very chill, nice vocals!

So what I heard was…you could totally hear this being on the radio! 🤗 I can too, but so far I like it. Aubrey said, ‘it’s like a combo of Bieber and Puth,’ and those familiar sounds had me immediately gravitating towards it. Maybe after he shakes things up a bit, it’ll be more appealing to you? If not, that’s ok too— there’s no law that says we have to like every little thing an artist creates, appeal is subjective. Everybody has their reasons for liking or disliking stuff and those feelings are honest and valid.

Bookdragon 43

Love this song!! Can't wait for more updates of it. 💓💖💟👍👍👏👏🎶

You start by saying you hate to be that person. There is usually no need to put a disclaimer before criticism/feedback when it is done respectfully. Your comments were not respectful.

Mari
>>100793236

It wasn't my intention to be disrespectful, I just wanted to be honest about how I felt about it and nothing I said wasn't true for me. I would change stations if a song like this comes on because I really don't like this type of music at all. It does nothing for me.

BellatrixBerghult

Good stuff 🙂 I'm looking forward to hearing the finished product 😊

Alle Engdahl

It’s got potential - looking forward to the finished track!

Shauna

I don’t like whatever effect is on the vocals. It takes away from the instrumental.

loonylovesgood

I REALLLLLLLY like this. It’s just my type of chords and vibe. I’m excited to see how it plays out.

Dorie

I’m very much feeling that lo-fi vibe right now.

Dannielle O'Neill

Yes, I'm just now getting to this. Day was bonkers. Wanted to wait until I could pay attention. Anywho, I think I like what you're going for with the lyrics and style. But, for me, that all gets buried in the vocal effects and instrumental. I guess I'm leaving my further judgment on what it sounds like until after you put your touch on it. Hope you're having a good day :).

Gayle

I am so grateful that we can have a glimpse, but am excited for a ruff final draft. Letting out from within in such a powerful and beautiful way, thank you.

emy

I had another (🧻?) thought about this. The specific thing that hit me on first listen is the way you sing the word “how” in the line “you dont know how it feels.” Especially the first one. The timbre of your voice on those notes - kind of plaintive - pulls on the heartstrings. Something I always like about your music is how much you treat your voice as an instrument throughout, woven through the overall arrangement to add pops of colour/texture. But this one feels different. To me, the star here very much feels like it will be your natural, vulnerable delivery of the top line. It’s simple and beautiful right now and I want to hear as much of the ‘grain’ of your voice as I can. MOAR! Lol I don’t have a producer’s ear and can’t tell if this would come down to the arrangement, mix, etc. but hopefully you can make sense of what I mean. it popped out enough that it felt worth reflecting back to you. (I’m learning a lot from you sharing your stuff, it’s almost like a mini-course, so thanks!)

emy
>>100917295

Thanks Helena! I was like… I hope that was a little bit coherent 🙉 lol

Maya

I honestly love all of Nate's work! Whether as a singer or producer. This song is great, but you're right, this isn't 100% you. Looking forward to the next update.

Hayley

Bahh, I finally join Patreon and my boii stops posting! Got loads to catch up on though and it's super exciting to hear what you've been up to and how things are progressing. You look much happier and healthier right now and it's great to see. Keep up the good work, can't wait to hear more. fred kärlek och katter x

>>100793236

Thanks for sharing your opinion, I understand your point but it did feel like the language/force behind it was a bit much lol. Totally fine to express this kinda viewpoint tho. You're great :)

Roomie
>>100793324

Thanks! Yeah I might look over it, I think I gotta sit on this one for a bit

Roomie
>>100793520

I feel that, it needs some mixing, better vocals etc as well :). Maybe I'll take up the key a bit to make it pop more

Mari
>>100793236

I was just trying to capture like my knee jerk reaction as accurately as possible and I know I can get spicy with my feelings, but you can always count on me to be brutally honest 😊 Appreciate you too and giving us these teasers of your process as well. 💛

Roomie
>>100829774

I don't think there's any unusual effects there's just a bunch of voices on top of each other lol. But I feel that. Kinda feels blurry, it's not mixed

Roomie
>>101104964

Thanks so much! Been rebuilding my office last few days before I film my next YT vid! Then it's more music again

Shauna
>>100829774

Ohhhh okay! Yeah it sounds odd haha. Maybe i’ll like it better mixed :p

emy
>>100793520

I really love the feel of the vocals. Excited for this!

WOW! What an instrumental! What a concept! I really love this one! If ever I wanted a demo complete, it's this one. Phenomenal! I want more!

Gayle

Still very nice way to vent. Still in love with everything about this, could be a hidden hit.
