New setup looks good. Interested to see what you come up with! Always happy to be here to support you. Appreciate you 🙃. Q: You're not the only one who has a "reunion" with "the boys" coming up... That said: Did "your sister"😉 have a favorite N'SYNC song?

Hayley

Heyyyy, missed my regular Friday morning update (UK) Thanks for the post x🥰x

Jen 🦙

Always appreciate these updates Joel, sounds like you’ve had yet another productive week! 😊 Have a good weekend and hopefully enjoy some downtime 🙂

Adina

I really hope you can stay in this positive headspace you seem to be in lately once you start uploading more. Q: Do you think YouTube content inspired by Mr Beast ( very fast paced, challenges, grabbing titles, etc) is a good or a bad thing? You seem to believe that most viewers have the attention span only for this type of thing, but at the same time podcasts are doing so good on the platform and those are in my head the exact opposite of mr beast videos or tik tok type videos.

Thanks for the update, it's always nice to hear from u 🙂 I hope irony and sarcasm will never totally disappear, otherwise life will be too boring and less fun 😆 But I get what u mean with it being a bit difficult nowadays. Q: Was there anything that surprised u when u moved to California when comparing to what u had been used to when living in Sweden and in England? For example some habits/customs, foods, rules, houses, bugs.. anything really.. Have a great weekend! Appreciate u 🙂

Q: What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given? We appreciate you too~~💜 May you have a great weekend ahead.

Clair (Teampanda)

Hey Joel, Thanks for answering my question, I think it will also be good for you to see just how much you have done, you work so hard. Appreciate you too, have a great weekend 🐼💜

Thanks for the update!! Q: What is your favorite Rollercoaster ? Is it in Sweden or in the U.S.? I really don't like riding them myself. Your set-up for your YT videos looks awesome!!👍👏😊 Hope you have a great weekend. Appreciate you

“I work a lot”…me too lol Q: Any tips for work/life balance?

Q: would consider bringing Discord M&G back? I love when I got to talk to you

I agree with what you’ve said here…about attention spans. I mean, sure, it’s fun to watch the fast paced Mr. Beast style videos from time to time. But honestly, I would much rather watch Joel’s shenanigans or his “nerding out”…as long as he’s having fun in his videos or during his Live streams, I’ll enjoy watching him…and it doesn’t matter how long his videos or streams are, I’ll watch. As far as watching podcast style videos goes…I really enjoyed the little tester podcast that Joel did with Jack and Daniel…I am excited to see more episodes like that!! Just the three of them playing a video game, chatting about anything and everything…nothing was scripted or forced. I hope that Joel reads the replies to comments, and not just the initial comments. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Joel, thank you for sharing these updates with us and for answering our questions!! I appreciate you so freaking much!! 💜💜 Q: Any plans for more SIOR videos on your Roomie Responds channel?! Here, I’ll sing your intro for you: 🎶”Put your things for the series in the subreddit. Slap It On Reddit, Slap It On Reddit. I will watch it on the next episode…yeah, yeah, yeah!! Put your things for the series in the subreddit. Slap It On Reddit, Slap It On Reddit!! I will watch it on the next episooooooode, yeah, of Slap It On Reddit!!”🎶 - I’ll show myself out now. - 😆😜 You are enough, and you are so freaking awesome!! Again, I truly appreciate you!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻💜💜

Miriam

Aww I think a songwriting stream would be really interesting actually!! Thanks so much for answering my question! We appreciate you too! 🙂

Nina L

Appreciate you too, thank you for the new update Q: Are you interested in using more AI in the future? Either for making music, to maybe "switch" voice or face with someone in the video or for something completely different It's very interesting, though controversial to see how it gets better over time (*that manifested fast, awesome video, when you and Daniel exchanged voices was pretty surreal :)

Love your positivity Melissa, always appreciate seeing it everywhere and getting a wee mood boost 😊

Bua (mintteafortwo)

It’s really nice to see you get your groove back Joel :) Q: Are there any more interesting socks in your collection? I mean we get to see some fun ones recently. Pretty sure there must be more of those right? hehe

Annelies
>>117623016

Same! I thought he might have skipped this week, but glad he didn't! 😉😊

Annelies

Thanks for the update Joel. In regards to the songwriting videos, I always liked the storytelling of all the hurdles and fun things that happened during the process, like with the songwriting challenges with Jonas and August and the making of "Own you"

Q: If you had to choose between listening to a kid playing The Wheels On The Bus on repeat for hours or selling feet pics, how quickly are you jumping out the window? 😎

Pouet

Q: Have you tried to songwrite using chatgpt ? (like, asking it to write a song about love as if it were taylor swift) Suggestion: Could be fun to make a human VS AI songwriting vid (maybe give a theme and some guidelines, and then try to figure out which one was written by a human, and which one is ai ? )

Jen 🦙
>>117656233

I mean, I hadn’t really thought about that being an option. I like your style 🤣

loonylovesgood

Q: What, in your opinion, is the best pop song of 2023? (So far - I know the year isn’t over yet!)

Melissa Rogers
>>117645288

Thank you so much, Jen!! I’m glad I was able to boost your mood!! 😁😁 I’m around so much negativity from my co-workers…it’s really nice to be part of a community where there is a lot of mood boosting positivity!! In Joel’s song “Zelda”…he sings “I wanted to be something special, do something great. I wanted to crush expectations…” I know he wrote the song for his former girlfriend, but, I wonder if he realizes just how special he is to all of us?! “Do something great”…”crush expectations”…this community Joel has built is freaking amazing!! In videos, he’s said that he never thought that the people who watch his videos would actually care about him vs caring about his content. (Paraphrasing a little bit.). So, right there is crushing his expectations. I love this community that Joel has created!! I hope that he reads this comment as well…because, every word of it is true…at least, it’s how I feel about it.

Very interesting suggestion…I’m actually curious about how this would play out!! And which could write the better song. My vote is on A. I. in the style of “Friday” era Rebecca Black!! (Just kidding…my vote is definitely on our Swedish Boi, Rami!!)

You’re always so positive and it’s pretty infectious! 😊 You’ve hit the nail on the head about the community right there, I don’t feel comfortable in the vast majority of places online but this community feels like my safe space and Joel should definitely be proud of that. The vibes around here are so unhinged yet kind and it’s unmatched anywhere else online 🙂

Melissa Rogers
>>117645288

Tysm!! I agree, Joel should be proud of himself for this incredibly wholesome, positive community he’s built. And, I’m sure he is. Are you on his subreddit?! What’s your username on there?! I try to use the same username on each platform I’m on: natesLilgirl5, although on here and on YouTube, you can find me under my real name: Melissa Rogers. Where I can, I try to combine the two…just so others won’t think I’m two different people. Again, thank you for your kind words…they are a mood booster for me!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻😁😁

In this case, I think he’d rather endure his PTSD and do another 10 minute round of listening to “Cotton-Eyed Joe” by REDNEX. LOL!! 😆😜😆😜 Or do that jump scare challenge consolation (because he lost the challenge) again. 👀 Poor Joel…ya gotta love him!! It’s hard not to!! (Purely as a fan, of course…because we don’t know him personally.) 😆😜💙💛

Q:You have come along way on this journey, but my question is do you desire or seek something else? I'm not asking out of envy, or anything negative. I am curious, genuinely curious. Thank you for your time.

I’ve just seen this message, sorry for not replying sooner! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’ve actually just joined Reddit in the last couple of days (I’m so behind!) and my username is jenlow1989 😊 I try to keep the same name on everything too otherwise I get confused and locked out of accounts! 🤣 Hope you’ve had a great week so far 🙂

Melissa Rogers

I will have to look you up on the subreddit…I was just on there when I saw your reply notice on here. 😁😁
