A curious man from a nearby estate decided to wander off into the woods to investigate a local "faerie place". The villagers who live nearby warned him not to go near the mounds, because of the disturbing folklore surrounding these areas of the forest. It is said that a small red man would trap your soul within a diamond orb, leaving your body an empty husk with no conciousness or will, and then your place, he will put an Imp-like creature that contains all of your negative traits and vices and place into your body. Those who came out of the woods were never themselves again. Sad to say, he didn't listen. Now he gets to watch as his body is being piloted by a changeling.
