Ep 44 Sailing and Skinny dipping Adventures Along the African Coast

After strong winds and a swelly day at anchor we have a stolen tender and quite an exciting few days! We catch a baby barracuda, make yummy boat bread, have a wonderful sail to a stunning little cove, where we can chill out in the beautiful Moroccan sunshine and have a couple of run ins with the Guardia, its all happening with the Pickle crew this week! Next episode we get further Guardia 'help' and are escorted into the Melilla Marina! We have negotiations and finally explore the stunning city before our return sail to mainland Spanish coast. Awesome video! Of course every one you posted are fantastic, too!

You guys were really cracking me up in this video! I am so jealous of all the regional markets and food ingredients you can come across during your journeys that meal looked absolutely amazing! I wonder if you got a small hanging scale if that would help you measure ingredients easier. It would remove the rocking motion from the boat. Also about the Guarda I wonder if they were just worried that you were not anchored behind a break water because that looked like the kind of spot that someone could very easily drag anchor while they were sleeping.

And I love to skinny dip ( *chunky dunk ) anytime I can do so, too! You folks are a delight!

Another nice video, Nicky. Near a border like you are, there are many visiting boarder control boats, I assume. Nothing like swimming off a boat in clear, clean waters.

Yeah I think your right, they were probably checking us for our own safety as well as seeing what we were up too, I have seen on the news this week in Melilla and Cueta they have been swormed with a lot of refugees along those borders. But the waters were so clear and beautiful, gorgeous! 😊👌

That's a bloody brilliant idea! 👌Why didn't I think of that!? thanks Dennis! I'm definitely gona go on the hunt for hanging scales now and see if it'll work 👍 we definitely had a lot of swell there, and it picked up further in the afternoon with big rollers! But they were happy we weren't anchoring there over night, maybe due to that, but also probably because it's very close to the border and I found out since we could of been at risk from being boarded by people trying to get into the Spanish enclave (eu) from the Moroccan part of the coast. We sort of realised after we'd been there a few days it may not of been that safe, which is why the guardia watched us constantly! You'll see more interesting interactions in our next episode too 👍
