Zachary Weaver

Starting out with the original yugioh duel monsters is the best choice even if I think other yugioh might be better the first series is really good for someone unfamiliar with yugioh And also I believe watching subbed is the move but it's youre choice

JustJamel

Yuh those nostalgia merchants in the 24 hr stream we’re trippin ngl

As a yugioh fan that's seen all of the seasons, I think that even though the first season is iconic, it's a bit slow and doesn't have the best animation. It gets really good In later seasons of course. But I feel like if you started with the first season, you would just stop watching it. I recommend you start with the 3rd series, yugioh 5Ds

And also you missed a lot of openings

cbloom

I did? I thought that was all of them Send me a link to the correct ones if possible please

cbloom

Ughh that’s some bs smh thanks 🙏

cbloom

Why would someone send me that bullshit ass playlist in the first place 😭gonna be doing these tmmrw or if I can hopefully today

Zachary Weaver

There's only 3 good options for someone starting out on yugioh Yugioh duel monsters-it's the classic series and the most iconic and everyone started out with this but it's outdated Yugioh 5ds-much darker and mature, not too much bs in earlier episodes jumps straight into action. Yugioh vrains- kinda like 5ds but more modern animation and a shorter episode count of 120. While duel monsters is 224 and 5ds is 154

Here's my opinion on the yugioh seasons. Og-amazing. Can't go wrong starting with this one. GX- really great story. My personal favorite yugioh series. It starts off more comedic, but gets really serious and really depressing in seasons 3 and 4. And it has some imo really great villains. 5ds- just great. Not much else to say. Zexal- starts off okay, but becomes really great imo. Also has imo the absolute best rival and some of the best villains. Arc V- starts off okay, becomes pretty good, then falls off in what is probably the last 3rd of the show. I haven't seen the other seasons

I didn’t grow up with yu gi oh but a lot of my classmates in elementary were yu gi oh fans while the others were pokemon or bakugan fans. I have always wanted to start the anime but never knew where to begin

Also, now that I'm watching the video, they didn't show a single 5Ds op😭

PhantomVaporeon

Start with Sevens and Go Rush it might the latest 2 but i think they’re the better written series or at least most consistent in quality Ur also missing a lot of openings

SharkMessiah101

So hype that you’re considering Yugioh! Just so you know you should start with OG then move onto GX and then onto 5ds, all three are kinda in their own little continuity time wise were it goes from one series to another with hints at their connections in the show. Also glad you like Zexal! It has a slow start but becomes an amazing series by the end of it however it’s dub is kinda trash not gonna lie

GTP

Will you do reactions on yu gi oh anime?

PhantomVaporeon

And Yugioh protagonists u will like might be different from mine Just gonna say I never really pay attention to win loss records for main characters I judge them for likability Or how creative they are Kinda why i like Sevens protagonist Hes fun And when it really matters to him he does pull out a win

PhantomVaporeon

Cuz technically Sevens and Go Rush are in their own universe

PhantomVaporeon

Its like The Burst series of Beyblade, Sevens has its own rule structure for the duels

Sebastian

I highly recommend duel monsters zexal and GX
