ANYWAYS EVERY SINGLE EPISODE IVE WATCHED WENT HARD ASF!! (yes even the little Showcase arc). Its really difficult to choose which one was the best out of the 9 because each of them had there own reason why it was AMAZING.

If i can rank the gym battles now i will go with : Wolfric>>>>>>Olympia>>>>>>>>>>>Korinna>Clemont>>Grant>Viola>>>>>>Valerie>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Ramos sorry ahhh

The entire fandom agrees that Serena was robbed and should’ve won, and this is why we don’t let the audience judge. Picking the celebrity like that P.S. this further cemented Nini's useless existence. We didn't see her get a single dub, she was eliminated straight away in the Master Class (to Jessie), even left halfway through one of the previous Showcases after losing the first round

The reason why Wulfric's battle is so iconic is because this is technically Ash's LAST GYM BATTLE in the entire pokemon anime. That is because in the next two generations ( Sun and Moon, and Journeys) Ash doesn't do any gym battles because there are no gym battles needed as there are other ways he makes it to the league in those regions.

I love the lesson ash had to learn. He said it himself. He was on a losing streak. And because of that, he became too focused on winning and getting stronger. He stopped having fun and stopped thinking about working with his Pokémon. I love how Serena was the one to remind him of that. And I love how clear the difference in attitude was when comparing his first snowbell gym battle to his second

I haven't watched the episode in a while but I believe that Sawyer didn't know because Wulfric didn't used it the first battle so I'm assuming he only pulls the mega stone out for rare moments where the challenger is just that strong
