This episode is one of my favorites. It shows us that despite usually goofing off, Snotlout, when he actually puts in effort, is probably the deadliest rider. He’s insanely fast, pretty much infinite pain tolerance and durability and overwhelming strength are enough, but THEN he’s also a capable strategist when he actually tries. I wish we got to see more of serious Snotlout, cause he is a fucking menace.

Wait am I tripping or wat happened to shattermaster???😭

Jay

I think Dagur retired Shattermaster. It was never explained well but that injury he got in the finale prolly made him incapable of proper combat.

cbloom

Thanks 😭I had a major brain lag cuz in my last mind I thought he already acquired the triple striker 🤦🏾‍♂️

Jay

Beat me to it with the detailed explanation lol. Snotlouts a king. He's to Hiccup what Spitelout is to Stoick in the same way. A close friend, reliable, brave, trustworthy and incredibly experienced, and both leaders have to deal with them even though they're kinda irrational and dickheads.

AShinyRavenHoard

Shattermaster is still around!! No spoilers but he’s still with Dagur, we’ll see him in an event that Dagur is a part of in the finale. But I think the catapult to the wing permanently injured him.

Jay

Thanks raven for the clarification. That sounds about right. I asked ChatGPT and it didn't know either lol. It's kinda sad ngl. But its good he didn't just never show up again.

Jay

Also there's a VERY VERY small detail they showcase in this episode about the island that's hinted at that we never get an explanation for that's INCREDIBLY important to the series finale. I wonder if you spotted it.

Jeltevv

We all know how slow he can be sometimes lol. Don't think he's connected the dots yet hahaa

cbloom

I’m still lost 💀💀💀😭I want to rewatch it but now I kind of want to be surprised 👀

Jeltevv

Keeping it a surprise would probably make your reaction to the series finale even better! :)

Jay

That's good. When you realise what it is and why it happened your mind will be blown. That's assuming it isn't already blown away at the remaining episodes of this season. I'm genuinely excited for you to get to episodes 7, 8 and 9. Tmr's episode is interesting. You're not gonna see it coming but it's probably the most flawed episode in this entire series. There's a continuity error (you may/may not spot it) and it seems counter-intuitive from what we saw in this episode BUT it's still interesting. After that, you're in for a SUPERB set of episodes (until ep 11 which is the filler). The show really is cooking ngl.

If you want a hint pay close attention to where Heather appears

clutch the cinnamon sergal

I have to say I agree that savage is the overall weakest villain in the franchise….which is ironic…because as far as I remember savage is the only character to ever say the word villainy in this franchise…

Jay

Tbf they couldn't focus on that many characters. At least Savage had some sort of arc, unlike any characters in the Nine Realms of Shit lmao. The writers just wrote him to be an irredeemable villain which I think is fine.

Jay

Alright another hint. Pay attention to whether or not Heather is with the gang before they go to "the island", and the same thing while they're flying on their dragons to the island, and after they get there as well. It's really hard to spot and I only realised on my 4th watch of the show.
