It's a series going on 9 seasons(volumes), 2 original games(I think) and 2 movies! You can watch the first season on Rooster Teeth(the makers of RWBY's app/website) for free! Please watch the first season at least!!

Lego Outcast Studios

You are correct that this is a YouTube original series created by the man Monty out(Rip), he was around for at least three of the volumes. After that, it was made with new people, but still the same voice cast, and the animation extremely improved and in my opinion, this is definitely a show worth watching because it has many action a great story, and really lovable characters, and heads up almost every MELLA weapon is also a gun, nonetheless, this is a great show and it will be really interesting for you to watch this and I hope it does well⭐️🐸🦉⭐️
