Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Here's Outlaws, another classic that is somewhat divisive that I actually love. I didn't get to play it back in the day so it went under my radar until last year. Then I played it, loved it, decided to make a vid on it after getting through a bunch of other stuff, and here we are.

It's either going to be a very short or moderately long time until I can upload a regular episode because I'm going to be moving next month which is an arduous, unending process that is going to require me to probably take at least a week off to fully get through. However, my office will no longer be my living room and that's going to be really, really cool.

Still been a very busy couple of weeks. I have footage captured for the next What's Civvie Playing and then the next couple of regular episodes are hopefully going to be an old DOS platformer as a nice change of pace and probably another roundup that, at the very least, includes Turbo Overkill's first episode and Forgive Me Father, which until further notice will be referred to as "Forgive Me Daddy."

Keep it greasy, kids. _________________________________

I played this when I was a kid nonstop, especially on the microsoft internet gaming zone back when it was a thing, multiplayer outlaws and jedi knight were some of my finest memories as a kid. Thud tower is still one of my favorite alltime mp maps in any game

CJ the Boi

This is going to be good!

I've been WAITING for this! I never actually got to play this game in full until the GOG release, but back in the day my brother and I played the hell out of a demo disc with one level of this on it. Along with Dark Forces 2 and Monkey Island 3. We played that level (the second one in the full game) forwards and back, learning all the secrets and messing around with cheats. It is such a beautiful little game and I'm kind of shocked that it's fairly under the radar. The weird lanky artstyle in the cutscenes, the just-off-legal Ennio Morricone soundtrack that is still so strong, and the first game I ever played that had reloading.

Hopefully a cat will be in the future. Good luck on the move

Hot damn Civvie, what a great episode! I never played Outlaws, but I'm planning to later this year, and this just made me look forward to it even more. Good luck with the move, looking forward to your return!

Valora Inverse

Oh damn, I feel like I played a demo of this way back when, that church house, the dynamite, and that hole to dig are all tripping some extremely latent memories.

matt

cheers to not having your living room be your office, I've been there 🍻

James Adair

Hey fellow moving time buddy, hope it goes well for you too.

methical

Yessss! Thank you very much.

I had fond memories playing this and Jedi Knight when I was a kid. Happy you got around to playing Outlaws and enjoying it! That was my Blood 2 when I played it.

a19fox

Good luck with the move

It's funny because Rattlesnake Dick Farmer was my nickname in elementary school.

Brandon Robinson

Congratulations on the new home!

Daniel Harrison

Always the wrong timeline given where his cell is located.

November Delta

There's definitely something to be said about keeping your office separate from your living areas. I don't even want to look at mine during my off hours. Congrats on the larger space!

Zaniel McDaniel

Oh yeah, if I could also request a fancy color, #B05BBC would be appreciated! (also if I can bribe my way into having my name be comic sans too...)

PowerDuDe_DK

Hmm 🤔 civvie just posted this on YouTube. I thought it was Patreon only? 🤔

civvie11

Episodes are posted on Patreon first, then on YouTube a couple days later.

PowerDuDe_DK

Thanks for the rapid response 👍

Yarden

Super cool, it was only like 2.50 on gog so I grabbed it. Fun as heck, can't believe I never played it.

Powerhouse Willington

First time ever being a patron to anyone. Wanted to say that I appreciate the content whenever it comes out. It’s all worth the wait. Also, making sure my name shows up as “Powerhouse Willington” and not my real name. Thanks, Civvie.

Jan Christensen

thats my god damn childhood right there.

Matthew Williams

outlaws was one of those games that I played the demo of 100s of times when I was like 6-7 years old, Running around and exploring the town of sanctuary over and over again. My dad actually worked overtime to afford the full version and bought it for me for my 8th birthday. The love I have for this game cannot be overstated and funneled my love for the FPS genre in general for the rest of my life. Ive heard they are trying to do a source port of it via "The force engine" and I cannot wait.
