The Wind-chaser’s Staff allows its wielder to subtly shift the wind, either by delivering powerful blows that can knock foes down by concentrating gale winds, or by directing spells through the sky-currents to unerringly strike at their opponents. On occasion, laughter can be heard emanating from the weapon, but clearly that’s nothing to be worried about, right?

The Wind-chaser’s Staff once belonged to the Pale Trickster, a mysterious fae spirit that inadvertently made its way into the Big Empty Blue via a long-forgotten Builder portal. Although confused at first, this spirit quickly realized that even though its environment changed, its prey did not: the mortals that dwell in this realm are just as susceptible to manipulation and flattery. Giving the Wind-chaser’s Staff to a hapless (yet heroic!) adventurer, it was able to witness the chaos and destruction wrought by its terrible power.
