Wondrous Item, legendary, requires attunement

"Borrow its silence and its stealth, but be cautious! If you linger in the darkness too long, you'll forget the light entirely."

This shadowy cowl is woven from midnight-blue fabrics that shimmer with a faint, elusive sheen, reminiscent of the dim streets and alleyways favored by the Murkthief. It is embroidered with subtle sigils and protections, recognized only by those familiar with the underworld.

Once a treasure of the Murkthief lineage, it has lost much of its power with their passing. Yet its magic lingers, waiting to be renewed in the quiet shadows of its makers.

That's a pretty interesting item, though leaves me a bit confused how it evolves. If it just gains each new trait, that's pretty straightforward but makes for a single item that covers a LOT of abilities all in one. Some are more or less just a straight upgrade of the prior ability. But some seem to be replaced instead of upgraded, which could be quite a letdown, since some, especially gaining and then losing Misty Step, would be a real bummer to lose when having safe movement in combat is not hard even at low levels for at least rogue and monk (the classes most likely to use such an item). (I'm an Eternal GM, so I try to view items from the perspective of how I think my players might see it) Either way, I find it really interesting to see a Legendary item that is actually designed to be obtained in the early game! I like that idea, not treating such items as near-exclusive to the almost-never-reached high levels. Will any of these items be in City of Sirens? That would be neat!

Hi Jarie! Consider the new tiers as added upgrades to keep the item relevant at higher levels. All the items with this layout will not be part of City of Sirens. They were published in a reward zine and are now a Patreon exclusive :)

Thanks for the clarification. And that's neat to know how special these items are, thank you for sharing them!
