NPC & Story Hooks: Finisher Hag (Patreon)

Medium Fey (Night Hag), typically lawful, CR 5

“I have seen them cradle the dying as gently as a mother would cradle her new babe. And I have seen that same tenderness become a wrath sharp enough to carve fear from the night.”

Finisher Hags are somber midwives of mortality—fey born of sorrow, justice, and gentle death. Cloaked in robes woven from strands of pure darkness, they wield their infamous Mercy Hammer to deliver swift, compassionate death to those who seek release.

Often misunderstood, they offer release to the suffering, comfort to the dying, and judgment to the cruel. Their legend has spread through assassin guilds and forgotten communities who invoke their name when mercy is the only kindness left. Yet, beneath their solemn purpose lies unimaginable power, and those who dare cross them face fates far worse than death.
