Update - Week 43 (Patreon)

English version below

A turbulent week is slowly coming to an end. On Monday, Ingo and I had an amazing dinner - it was actually the first time in my life I tried potato churros, and I can honestly recommend them to everyone 😊 The rest of the week pretty much revolved around good food, pastries, and - surprise, surprise - shootings.
On Saturday, it was time for me to head back to Germany. On the way to the airport, we spotted a baguette vending machine - I wish we had those here! Saying goodbye was really hard. Partly because the weather in Germany isn’t exactly welcoming right now, and partly because it feels strange to be alone in my apartment again after spending two and a half weeks surrounded by people 24/7.
I also feel like I’ve become a bit addicted to shootings 😂 It was just so amazing to have the chance to take photos almost every day - with so many outfits and such great locations! There were actually a few days when we didn’t shoot at all, but considering we still took over 78,000 photos, that was probably for the best 😄
And of course, Ingo and I couldn’t resist trying something new - two and a half weeks of just our usual routine would’ve been boring! So, at some point, the idea came up to start filming. Naturally, we went for it. We had filmed before using a phone mount on the camera to create a behind-the-scenes feel - we did that again, but this time a bit less.
What we really discovered for ourselves were slow-motion shots. They look absolutely stunning - especially with the right music. While filming, we realized just how well we work together as a team. Everything flowed naturally, without needing to talk much. Ingo knows how I move, and I (at least sometimes) know how he frames his shots - so I can often sense what he’s focusing on and adjust accordingly.
I honestly can’t wait to share the results with you - especially the videos! It’ll still take a bit of time since we haven’t finished with the Madeira series yet. Plus, we also met again afterward - two days in Karlsruhe and one in Wiesbaden - and those photos are still waiting too 😄
Right now, Ingo and I are juggling some new ideas, and I’m really excited to see which ones we’ll bring to life next. But since I’m dealing with some serious (and honestly chronic 😅) sleep deprivation - worsened by the trip - I’m off to bed now.
Wishing you all a wonderful start to the new week! For me, Friday means heading to Poland - a short birthday trip - and then a week with my parents. After that, it’s back to Duisburg, and maybe there’ll be one or two more shoots before the year ends. One thing’s for sure, though: I’ll see Ingo again at the end of December - and we’re already busy collecting moods.
