The week started with a baking experiment: brownies with buttercream and pomegranate seeds. The reason? I didn’t think before telling Ingo that I used to bring something homemade to shoots all the time. And then I had to listen to the fact that I’ve apparently never done that for our shoots together 😂

Since I had Monday off anyway, I went for it - and despite several small disasters, they turned out really good (I may have eaten three pieces straight from the oven 😁).

I also started making a few plans for 2026 - including more solo dates. In the past, I’ve often made myself very dependent on other people and their availability, and I want to change that.

On Tuesday, Ingo and I went to the Bolongaroloft in Frankfurt. I think we were among the first people to shoot there, and we were incredibly lucky with the weather. The studio itself is an absolute dream - and the same goes for the images we created there.

Of course, I once again worried that I wouldn’t fit into the flow and had somehow forgotten how to stand in front of a camera 😆 But that fear turned out to be completely unfounded.

After the shoot, we went to Ingo’s place, where McDonald’s, an extremely unphotogenic cat, and a brief packing crisis were waiting for us (I might have brought a bit too much and had to sort things out again).

On Wednesday, we headed to the airport at 7 a.m., and by midday we were already in Málaga - where we were immediately greeted by a dead car battery. After three hours and a Burger King lunch, roadside assistance finally arrived, and we made our way to the apartment.

There, we were welcomed by a clogged and badly smelling drain in the bathroom. It just wasn’t our day. So we only went grocery shopping, put a pizza in the oven, and got comfortable on the couch. Ingo gave up at 10 p.m. and went to bed, while I welcomed the new year with Netflix and a glass of Fanta.

Thursday started with rain, but also with a really cool shoot - one I didn’t quite get into this time. Sometimes I’m simply afraid of certain lighting because, in my head, it automatically means “very visible cellulite”, and that was quite present that day. Still, the images turned out dreamy once again, and we even filmed a video 🥰

On Friday, we had a beautiful sunrise and went for a walk along the beach, which felt really good. Unfortunately, Ingo was pretty knocked out over the weekend with migraines, so I entertained myself - including a walk to a café, hot chocolate, and raisin buns.

We spent most of Sunday on the couch: reviewing and sorting images, the “fireplace” crackling in the background, and the occasional round of Skip-Bo.

Partly because it rained so heavily yesterday that we received a red alert warning on our phones twice and had three power outages 🤣
