Hello guys! We have finally gotten to the Release Candidates stage, the last stage!

As per usual at this point, if no significant bugs are found within a week, then the public release is scheduled to be launched at May 3, 2025. Note, minor bugs will not postpone the launch date!

This build behaves like the "end-user game", which means this is what a normal player will get when playing the game. Cheats and Level Select are disabled by default, but they can be unlocked by reaching the end, i.e., The Ventilation's Hallway Aquarium.Jumping is also disabled by default except in The Ventilation segment. Jumping will only officially be enabled by default in the whole game in the next iteration.

Some things, mostly minor and QoL, have still been fixed for this version. The changelog is directly attached to this post, if you wish to see it!

You can download the last build here.

What can you expect afterwards, when the public release is launched? Well, some big plans are ahead for Changed3D; Metamorph is not cancelled, and we are planning details for the campaign and doing future preparations for it! But on the other side of the paper, I love making Changed3D, and you guys seem to like it too, and it is a good place to test many of the things we want to do in Metamorph, and a good way to gain traction and community when we finally do make the Kickstarter campaign, so this is the way we have chosen! Thank you for helping us make both games a reality :D

Just as a sneak peek, you can expect to finally have Combat and Voice Acting in Changed3D... I'll keep you posted: more details coming in on the future! ...

Oh I will absolutely check out this build and then last one, I am so excited to see all the changes and finally have time to! I am also very excited at jumping being introduced in the next iteration, though I am guessing it will make some of the original puzzles difficult to balance when the player can vault over obstacles instead of having to find a way around them. Combat I am very excited for too! I would be happy with even only being able to toss small things to distract enemies, a full fledged combat system is a far step beyond that and I am very interested to see how it is fleshed out and handled!

Hey-ho Mercurial! Glad to see you around! Indeed, big changes bring big problems; that's why I'm waiting for the next iteration to start working on them :D Don't worry, Combat will have many revisions to ensure it is fun and fair; and it is considered to have three main player styles: minimal usage, balanced usage and maximum usage! So tossing small things around and not needing to really fight should be an option, too!

It's good to see you all around still too! I have been very busy for a while, but seeing an update from you all always made my day! It is definitely understandable to put off jumping to the next version haha, as you have to not only worry about puzzle balance like I said, but other big problems too such as players getting to spots they should not be to completely cheese enemies or get out of bounds. For a low combat playstyle, the player being able to throw small objects would also complement being stealthy and relying on sneaking around instead of fighting very well, since it could be used to distract and reposition enemies that are otherwise in or patrolling in a hard to get past spot, If the enemies will go and investigate objects thrown nearby them!
