Hi everyone.

Today I'm looking at Goo Goo Muck by The Cramps. As I say in the video, I think the Cramps are a perfect fit for my my channel - bridging the gap between the 50s rock n roll and the more punky  things I enjoy. This one is really fun to pay and nice and beginner-friendly too. As well as mixing up the styles, I do try and look at songs for people of all levels of playing experience too. Have fun. I'll post tabs and a backing track here soon.

Below can be found PDFs for both guitar parts along with my Guitar Pro files. And an mp3 backing track - it's structured just like the original recording so you should be able to play the whole song along from start to finish. Hope you enjoy learning it. Speak next week!

Excellent work Adrian. Is there any chance of getting the Guitar Pro password to the Poison Ivy and Kid Congo files so that I can merge them into a single file?

anyonecanplayguitar

Thanks! Not sure why the files are locked, I don't usually do that. Will re upload unlocked versions now.

That's great thanks, much appreciated!

Merci pour avoir débloqué les deux fichiers que je vais pouvoir ainsi mixer dans GuitarPro.

Hi Adrian, happy new year! I just joined your Patreon after finding your videos on Rowland S. Howard and I must say I'm super glad I did, I appreciate your broad taste and effort as well as that you have not just tabs, but full-on teachings beyond tabs and much more. Thank you heaps for your efforts! I am inspired and I look forward to learn with your content :) Also this post doesn't have any tags on it, fyi!

I don't have Guitar Pro, but your .gp files motivated me to get the inexpensive Guitar Pro player for iOS. its sound is awful tinny electronic and so has to be turned down most of the time, but it's nice to be able to scroll these tabs on an iPad now.

Sounds good, I've not tried it. To be honest even with the full Guitar Pro the sounds are still a bit rubbish. But they're good enough to give you the gist of how things should sound.

Thanks for this one Adrian reading Dick Porters book about them at the moment. Was lucky enough to see them in Australia in the 80s. Would love you to do Mother of Earth by The Gun Club if you get the time. Regards Mark, Melbourne Australia

Thanks Mark. The Cramps shows were legendary, but sadly I never got to see them myself! Hope you continue to enjoy the lessons. I've actually got a video on The Human Fly recorded which I'll probably put out in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Like the Gun Club suggestion - added to my list. If this Patreon page continues to grow I'm actually considering doing something like a patron monthly request which means I'll be able to get around to stuff like this.

Thanks for the reply Adrian love your work

I’m starting to get a feel for the poison Ivy lead on this, just not sure my strat and the settings on my GT40 are just right yet.

anyonecanplayguitar

I think a Start should work well for this, they're super versatile guitars. With the GT40 it's really all about experimentation, until you hit upon tones that you like.

Thanks Adrian, the new Netflix series “Wednesday” from the old Adams Family series has made this song popular once again. I’m old school so I love this so type of sound as well as The Cramps.

Thanks again Adrian for putting in the hard work, great song this and yes as Cluis above mentioned its again popular on Netflix. I`m currently learning the CAGED system and the major and minor scales. I do like that E open tuning though, a new one for me. Thanks again
