Morning all! I have some classic UK punk for you this week in the shape of Fan Club by The Damned. I know a few of you have requested I take a look at a Damned song, and this one was a lot of fun for me to figure out and learn. Here's a link to the video:

https://youtu.be/JjT7BPtek0Q

I've attached the tab/Guitar Pro file below.

Enjoy learning the song. I'm going back into the studio now to work on next week's video which is probably going to involve my Telecaster and some country twang.

Thanks to all of you for the support on here.

Speak next week,

Adrian

Would be great to see you do a lesson on Bad Time For Bonzo. There‘s none yet on the www…

Mark Garnett

Thank you so much fir this Adrian. As always, your choice of song is sublime.

1977 - I was 19 - and we didn't care about notes or something Great to learn it after all Thanks Adrian

Jeff Sims

Your ability to hit the target with song choice never fails to amaze! Good work.

Jack Cook

I’ve been playing the 2nd riff wrong all these years- thanks for clearing that up for me much appreciated!

Yes, it's a tricky one to hear on the record! Hopefully I've got it right - I checked with a couple of live videos and that's what he seems to be doing.

anyonecanplayguitar

Haha yes. It feels a bit weird for me to be writing out tab and sheet music for punk music like this. Cheers Thomas!

This is great, More Damned (and early Clash) please. Do you like Teenage Fanclub Adrian?

anyonecanplayguitar

Thanks Mitch! Yes, will try and do more Damned and Clash later in the year. Any particular songs you'd like to see? And I love Teenage Fanclub - was toying with the idea of looking at one of their songs, so I'll try and get round to that too.

Joshua Singer

I'm pretty late to the party, but just wanted to say how much I appreciate your song selection. I took a shot at playing this song and added in the other parts as well to see how it would come out. I even did a remix of it for fun. Check it out here if you get a chance: https://trashical.bandcamp.com/album/recycling

Star Sign and Sparky’s Dream are my favorite TFC songs, Clash is my favorite all time band (I saw them 12 times) so it is difficult to pick out a few but favorites include White man in Hammersmith Palais, The Prisoner, Gates of the West, Complete Control etc. The Damned - Anything from Machine Gun Etiquette, Nasty, Ignite, (or anything that has a really cool Captain Sensible solo). I really love your Banshees videos more would be great and Perhaps Going Underground by the Jam? Sorry about the late reply, but I only noticed your replay today (9 months later). Love your channel and I’m happy to support it (as best I can).
