Hi everyone. This week I'm looking at a stunning track from 80s band Felt. (Perhaps this one's a little obscure, but it's my job to go there...) This one contains some wonderful, challenging Televsion-esque guitar parts. It's well worth checking out the original track if you're unfamiliar with the band. Here's the link -

The tab can be found below. Backing is going in the next post. Hope you enjoy.

Beautifully rendered Adrian. Thank you for adding to my understanding of this song. 'The Day the Rain Came Down' by Felt, might be worth covering too - lots of notes flying about, which is probably why Tom Verlaine (originally chosen producer) didn't like it.

Hurrah!! You've gone to Felt, which is a great place to go to!

Wonderful Adrian! This is way above my skill set yet. But I remember Felt from the Pillows and Prayers compilation from Cherry Red records. Oh the Eighties where have you gone?

Chris Williams

Great pick! Question, have you ever discussed with your Patreon subscribers the process of how you do what you do?

Thanks for this! I had been thinking about requesting a song by Felt -- such a great band. Some of my other faves by them: The Day the Rain Came Down, Down But not Yet Out, Ballad of the Band, Sunlight Bathed the Golden Glow.

Not easy to play with all those notes and fast runs, but such a pretty song. Thanks Adrian.

Bit of a late response but just wanted to say thanks Adrian for introducing me to Felt. It’s right up my street and after a bit of research I found out that they recorded this in my local town of Leamington Spa!

My pleasure Luke - great to hear this lesson has got you into Felt. Recorded in Leamington Spa, amazing!
