Hello all,

Delay pedals at the ready for a detailed look at an early 80s classic by The Passions! It's a beautiful song with some lovely guitar atmospherics. Here's the link -

I've tabbed out the entire track below (the second guitar part is underneath the main tab).

Hope you enjoy the lesson. The backing track and a mix of the full track is coming up in the next couple of posts.

Speak soon,

Thanks, awesome lesson👍

Thank you so much for this, I asked you a question about this track a couple of years ago as although I managed to get the main riffs worked out I was getting lost on the rest of it (I get more confused than ever when there are strong echos.)

Peter Kirk

What a brilliant choice

thanks for the track adrian. if you go back to doing a shoegaze track (been a while), could you do "taste" by ride? cheers

Thanks, that was great fun to play except the E chord at the end played with 'C' shape, which I'm not very good at doing. Can I request another Durutti Column song like The Missing Boy?

Yes, great song. It has indeed been a while since I've done any shoe gaze, so I'll definitely consider doing this one.

Yes, it's not at all easy towards the end of the track to decipher exactly what's going on. Hopefully I've got reasonably close here!

I pretty much dismissed this at the time but good choice. When you focus on the guitar it’s really sweet.
