Halloween is upon us once again, and that provides me with an excellent excuse to look at another Smiths/Johnny Marr classic in the shape of the 1986 track Cemetry Gates. I had a lot of fun putting this one together; both the electric and acoustic parts are truly excellent. The link to the video is here:

Tabs can be found below. There are 2 PDFs - one for the open G acoustic parts, and another for the electric parts in standard tuning.

The backing track is coming up in the next post.

There's going to be no video next week. It's half-term holidays here in the UK and I'm going to be spending a bit of time with the family. (Plus, as you might be able to hear in the video, I've come down with a bit of a cold, so I think I need a few days off the content creation treadmill to recuperate!) Normal service will resume on November 5th. Speak then!

Perhaps do a Marr & Talking Heads (e.g., Nothing but Flowers) lesson? Marr played on 4 tracks on the final Talking Heads album. Haven't seen any lesson for these tracks online. https://fb.watch/nSruZTUZ5u/

I'm looking forward to digging into this one. I hope you feel better soon, enjoy the time spent with family, and don't pass along any germs. =^D

Many thanks for this one, Adrian. I worked 'Cemetry Gates' out some time ago but after viewing your lesson I see I have room to improve my interpretation. Thanks again for the all the great lessons and take care.

Superb, an absolute favourite and you've beaten my "interpretation" into a cocked hat
