Hi all,

Some country guitar this week! I've put together a short solo that contains many of my favourite country licks and devices. There's lots to get stuck into here: melodic double stops, hybrid picking, mixing minor and major sounds, steel bending, outlining the chord changes...

As I say in the video, this is not just for country players; the things you learn from this style can be fairly universally applied to any musical situation.

And the tab is attached below. Hope you enjoy it!

Speak next week,

“I’m not a country guitar specialist by any stretch of the imagination, but it is a style that I really enjoy playing.” Same here, Adrian! Great lesson! Thanks for this! 🤠

I listen to some "Country" such as Lucinda Williams, Cowboy Junkies and Chet Atkins

Oops I meant to say Chet Atkins, and others from that time, well their playing is amazing. Thanks for this great lesson. I'll chip away at it as usual.

Love it. Thank you!

Love this lesson. Everyone’s different but I discovered today that it works better for me to just put the pick down rather rather hybrid pick. The it started sounding much more like the video.

Great picking, it pulled me right in. Great lesson full of iconic links and tricks. Thank you
