You have not reacted to any Chris Farley movies. Tommy Boy, Black Sleep or Beverly Hills Ninja.

Gam

Great reaction, can ya'll react to: 'Inside Out' 2015 and 'Billy Madison' 1995

Marcelo

I can recommend you to watch 'Meet the Parents' 2000 and 'Meet the Fockers' 2004. You will like it.

Charles L

There is a sign in front of that house to this day that says Goonies house. The same area Kindergarten Cop was filmed.

Nhia Vang

In my opinion he's not that funny but more silly

Nhia Vang

My childhood movie growing up. This is an all time classic.

Digitalversager

Hey you guys!😅 There’s really nothing better than watching someone experience this cult classic for the first time. The Goonies is an absolute masterpiece from the 80s, and it’s wonderful to see how the film’s magic still captivates you today. To me, The Goonies has always felt a bit like a kids' version of Indiana Jones, which makes sense, given that Steven Spielberg was involved in both films. Ke Huy Quan, the young actor who played Data, also played the hilarious character Shorty in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. He took a long break from acting in the early 2000s but made a hugely successful comeback in 2022 with Everything Everywhere All At Once, even winning an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. So, Angels, I think this is a sign that you finally need to react to Indiana Jones 1 - 3, and while you're at it, why not Everything Everywhere All At Once too.😉 Great reaction, Angels, as always.💜

httruong

Have you recognised Sam from Lotr or Thanos from MCU in their youth?

John H

Its good enough for me. Its good enough. This reaction is good enough for meeeeee. If ya'll are too old for adventures than I have no hope to go on an adventure haha

Alex Anderson

You call a lot of movies "cult classics" when they're not cult classics, they're movies that were extremely popular at their time and made a lot of money.

Digitalversager

Yes, Alex, I would call The Goonies a cult classic, and personally, I don't know anyone who would disagree with me. But then again, I don't move in the elite circles that you do, oh wise Alex...please forgive me; I am unworthy.🤣

Nhia Vang

If you girls have not notice that is Thanos and Sam.

Nhia Vang

Add this to your watch list if you enjoy a group of kids going on a journey. Is a horror movie since Halloween is around the corner. It 2017

Lynn VW

On a sad note the actor who played Sloth was Lyle Alzado. He was a former pro football player. He maintained that the brain tumor that eventually led to his death was caused by his abuse of steroids over many years. He died at a young 43. We have this great movie to remember him.

Gaëtarrow

Hello Angels!! Well that's a surprise! I discover this movie with the munchies !(Chi, Yuna and Hella). So i'm happy to have a second watch with you ! (maybe I'll catch more thing). For me, it's an Indianna jones/ pirate/ coming of age (kinda) movie. always for a good time with kids's innocence and their craziness! for the movie "I'm taking note right now" Is that the "menace to society' Lan speaking ? 🤣 Did you recognized Mikey ? "don't you recognize your dear sam?" sean Astin or Samwise gamgee from lotr. (we recognize him hugely in the captain's cabin) And Brand ? Josh Brolin aka Thanos! and cable from deadpool. "Hey Language!" Tiên is having her Captain america moment ! 😅 The kid telling one-eyed Willy is the most accurate "child tellling a story" ever ! 🤣 (lot of words for nothings, lot of useless details, making thing bigger than they should and hard to follow as they are so over the place speaking)😅 Lan " Let's go save him" (speaking of the pirate) Well, they are 300 years late 😅. if you ask me, the role of the "asian kid" as you say: the tech/gadget support! 😉 (BTW, How many did he have on him? And How can he still be able to move easily? 🤣) "He's dead" 🤣 I thinl we can consider troy's joke as "murder attempt"!! good thing it's a kid's comedy movie, either way Tiên would have been right. "Watch your hair" as the guy is taking out his wigs...🤣🤣 "Waterslide!!" 😅(with a voice of documentory) here we can see the main difference between the angels. look with me at 1h23:28 : As you can see, Tiên is having a bright and shinny smile, enjoying it as much as she was in it alongside them. While Lan Is having a complete different face: stuck between shock and confusion. she's clearly wandering "WTF is going here ?!" and "How are they stil alive?!" 🤣🤣 That's the magic of this movie! Moral of the story for the mothers: never drop your kid! or they'll throw you overboard !! "I would swin there!" did you see the waves ?! 🤣🤣No way you gonna succeed. but I guess finding a motorboat and catch it up wouldn't be hard at all !! For the conclusion The biggest strenght of the movie is to take all the imagery of treassure hunt, pirates with all kind of booby trap and scary thing that any kid would run away from in seconds. Take a group of kids/teenagers just as attaching and cute each in their own way and a group of bandit as dangerous as the one in "home alone". Put all of this, in an adventure as crazy and fun as it make no sense! 🤣🤣 Put everything with a big message about friendship and child's imagination! 🤣 It does send us back in our childhood!😁(where imagination and adventures is really leading us...before reality catch us back.) I remember that Chi got scared for some scene 😁 You said it's a kid movie. sometimes I wonder if it's not a kid who made the scenario and some lines.😁 "We are too old for this sh*t" 😅 If you feel old...🤣What can I say ?! 😅 For me, the worst part of the movie, the real things bothering me, I had to make a break in the reaction because they gave me a headache!🤯😅 Like you said "JUST SHUT UP FOR ONE SECOND !!!" ouch my head....I'll be screaming along with Lan to shut them up !!! I know that's how kid are...(and apparently I was like that...oops) But can you please stop screaming for talking! 🤯 Either way, it's a fun one. If you love Data in the movie, you gonna love him in Indianna jones 2! still eager to see those ones with you 2! (or 3 with Yuri. I miss the trio sometimes.) Thanks for the fun times !! I guess it will be Ran and Yuri for "the princess's bride" (as Tiên and Lan saw it with Chi before). It's gonna be very fun too. eager to see that ! Have a beautifull day, Angels!

Nhia Vang

Please switch it up and do horrors/scary movies since Halloween is around the corner. Here is one to start off with please. Is Horror and a little of comedy. The lost Boys 1987

Looney

I agree with you. The Goonies is definitely a cult classic.

Looney

Thank you so much for this. I loved watching you two experience The Goonies. I grew up on this movie and still love it. The Goonies. The Sandlot (1993). Stand by Me (1986). The holy trinity of childhood movies that lots of us grew up on. And in my opinion all three movies are 10/10 Nice yall noticed ol Samwise from LOTR. Brandon is Josh Brolin (He played Thanos and Cable from Deadpool 2) Thank you again for this. One of my all time favorite movies ever.

Luh Beef

One of the most overrated movies of all time.

Luh Beef

He's saying you don't know the correct definition of "cult classic" and he's right.

Mr Jackpots

Spielberg's genius is that he puts things in his movies that people all over the world can relate to, no matter what culture they come from. He understands what all humans have in common, most basically families and the love they have for their children. This movie is very special to the generation who saw it in the theatres many years ago, just like the Wizard of Oz for earlier generations. It's a classic film because the values in it are timeless, just like when Dorothy said, " There's no place like home".

Digitalversager

I know what he means. But I simply don't care if anyone thinks I'm using the term "cult classic" in the wrong context. To me, a cult classic is a film that stands the test of time, and The Goonies definitely does that.

Steven

Another 80s classic that also has Corey Feldman, AKA Mouth, is THE LOST BOYS 1987. I also think you'll really love * The Princess Bride *, but in that style of movie, you should also watch * The NeverEnding Story * ( 1984 ), * Labyrinth * ( 1986 and the full puppet fantasy film THE DARK CRYSTAL 1982.

Jef Etters

I agree. I didn’t watch this when I was a child, although I am the right age for that, and I just don’t get this movie at all. I couldn’t even finish the reaction. I also didn’t see Stand By Me, Princess Bride or the Sandlot then, but saw them as reactions as an adult and I could understand why they were classics. This one just seems like kids talking over each other the whole time, not being funny, and is really obnoxious. If you love it, good for you, I’m glad you enjoy it. But it must be pure childhood nostalgia because it is a pretty unpleasant movie.

Matthew Murdick

Heh - I've not rewatched this one in a bit - probably overdue! Thanks for the reaction Angels!

Luh Beef

I actually saw it as a kid and didn't understand why everyone loved it. I watched it again as an adult to give it another chance and absolutely hated it.

Alex Anderson

"I'm wrong but I don't care and won't take steps to correct myself" Nice. At least one other person agrees with me, maybe you should do some research and educate yourself. Goonies was seen by every kid in the 80s how is that a "cult classic" herp derp English isn't your first language right so maybe that's why you're using words incorrectly

Digitalversager

Why should I correct myself? Alex, do you really not realize how unimportant the whole matter is? I simply don't base my personal opinion on movies on the same standards as you do; I thought we had moved past that by now.

Denspion

This is easily in my top 5 most favorite movies growing up, this movie made me fall in love with the pacific northwest, this was filmed in Astoria, Oregon and Cannon Beach in Oregon. If you are gonna watch the classics, definitely watch the never ending story and The Lost boys!

Jeremy McCabe

haha this guy always a downer lol

Johnny S.

Ky Hu Quan ,went on to Win an Oscar.

Johnny S.

Sloth was played by John Matusak another Great Football player

NeonToiletJuice

Yep! For "Everything Everywhere All At Once", which, as my current fav movie of all time, would love to see them react to. It has so much to it

NeonToiletJuice

From the wikipedia page on "cult films": "Inclusive definitions allow for major studio productions, especially box-office bombs, while exclusive definitions focus more on obscure, transgressive films shunned by the mainstream. The difficulty in defining the term and subjectivity of what qualifies as a cult film mirror classificatory disputes about art. " So maybe, just maybe, cult classic is not the best term to get uppity about linguistic misuse.

NeonToiletJuice

I say all this as someone who cringes when the word "like" is used for essentially any pause or interjection in speech. I am highly annoyed by the way the word "literally" has been rendered nearly useless through its abuse. But as much as I want to be a language purist, and appreciate things like having a broad vocabulary and the ability to express oneself accurately, I must also allow room for the reality that language evolves. Words are subjective and simply mean whatever meaning we ascribe to them.

Alex Anderson

"Words are subjective" That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard, NeonToiletJuice.

Tony S in Phoenix

I can't believe I never noticed it all of these years, and apparently none of you have, but at 41:20, "Mikey" calls "Brand" by his real name, "Josh"!
