Robert Pattinson is so much more than his role in Twilight. IMO Literally a top 10 actor for the past 10-15 years. Cementing some of the best performances since his Twilight days. Please go further in R Pats more contemporary portfolio. Also, the Penguin show starring Colin Farrell is one of the best TV shows in the last few years. Its so good

The actor is who is playing Alfred is Andy Serkis. He was the voice/mocap actor for Gollum in Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. He was also in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Black Panther. He was the guy who stole the vibranium. FYI, there is also The Penguin tv show on HBO max if ya'll are interested.

This is my second favorite Batman movie. Just a step below the Dark Knight. And Tien would make a great Catwoman, she's got the sassyness for the role. She would be one of those cats that you're afraid to get too close because you know she will scratch!

"This is a situationship." You are 100% right on that one Lan. Batman and Catwoman never seem to get a break. I think this was a great Batman movie. It went back to Batman's original roots in fighting the mob, but they made it much more realistic than what the earlier comics could do. I think choosing The Riddler as the main villain was a wise choice, especially since this movie was nearly 3 hours long. Keeping the audience engaged with figuring out the riddles and how the story comes together was a smart choice. Keep the great reactions coming you two! Have a good day!

THIS is the Best Batman movie, and upcoming Joker movie is also the Best for that character. And it's not even close. I'm so glad the Angels reacted to them. Also, I completely agree with Lan regarding the "Society is on the Brink" assessment. Decades of gaslighting and corruption at every level..... A parasitic "Ruling Class" that have completely disconnected from the very people they govern. And the more that people notice, the more they censor and ban people for pointing it out. I'm only sure about one thing -> It's going to get much worse before it gets any better unfortunately....

Well, allow me to maybe change your mind? This version of Batman, is the closest to the original comics. He was a very brutal Vigilante, not a "hero" (as Tien pointed out). In the comics, he used guns and straight up murdered criminals. He was much more brutal than in this film.... But this is the closest we've gotten so far, to the original creators vision so ~ Seeing him in the last several movies, transformed into some kind of Disney "Crime Fighter" is a complete perversion... He's a vigilante that uses Fear as a weapon. And this character matches that thematically. The other versions... Not dark enough, not violent enough, not scary enough. Of course, there is no right or wrong answers in art. You have your preferences, and I have mine. I hope you will give it another chance, with an open mind, and not weighted against the other versions you enjoy more recently. Perhaps, as if you're watching a brand new character I guess. Because in a way, he is. He's a return to a character created almost 100 years ago. Not the watered down version we've been shown for the last 20 ~ 30 years.

It’s a good movie, but for some reason, it just doesn't quite click with me. I like Robert Pattinson as an actor, but he doesn't quite work for me as Batman; somehow, his portrayal feels weighed down by that brooding vampire vibe he likely carried over from his Twilight days. Fun fact: I once read an interview where he said he was glad his Harry Potter character died in the same film he appeared in because he didn't want to become too closely identified with a big franchise. You can imagine my surprise when, shortly after, he took on the lead role in the Twilight movies.😅 That said, he has certainly moved past that and established himself as a serious actor. Another thing I’m not entirely sold on is the realistic approach to the villains. The actors deliver strong performances, but, especially with iconic villains like the Penguin and the Riddler, I feel the exaggerated, freakish look is missing. As always, that was a great reaction, ladies.💜

Hello Angels !! Let's go for another very good Batman movie. (and I saw the movie for the first time a week ago!) Even if i will always prefered Nolan's, I really like this one. we have finally a good riddler (i'm not counting Jim Carrey's...he forgot he was the riddler, not the joker...), the penguin is good wihout being overexagerated. Catwoman is OK (still prefer Anne Hathaway's, we lack the treason and the "i'm playing with you" for me). the "normal gangster have a better place in the story than in Nolan's. and we have the best depiction of a conflictd Batman ever! (i Love Christian Bale, but Pattinson had the behavior and the self-depreciation of Batman way better than Bale!!) and finally, a movie where Batman deserve his "best detctive of the world" title! But for the movie "A Bat-vampire-man"? 🤣🤣 remember me the cartooon were Batman fight against Dracula! 😅 "it's Halloween, not Black Friday!" 🤣🤣🤣 the criminal being scared of the bat-signal is quite accurate to some comics. "He's like a booggeyman" That's the exact idea !! "he don't talk much" you should see him in some of the justice league cartoon episode. with some, he doesn't speak at all. just a glaze and the guy understand. 😅 "Wonder city" , in this movie, the batcave is in Wonder-city or old Gotham. imagined a kind of very 40's city a little fantasy. Recognize Alfred? Andy Serkis. aka Gollum in LOTR but also the guy in avengers Age of Ultron and Black Panther who stolled the vibranium from Wakanda. "very Victorian and gothic" That's what Gotham must look like to be accurate to the comics for me!! 😅 . Gotham always had this gothic inspiration with Gargoyles everywhere on buildings ! I love that Lan had the exact little time before realizing it was the thumb just like Chi ! 🤣 This catwoman is clearly not my favourite. we have the main element. but we lack the big "i'm seducing you only to betray you or playing you like my toy" to be a perfect Catwoman. but the seducing is on topnotch !! 😅 Btw, her name was written on the letter he took in her appartement. It's not uncommon to see batman fly (or better said "glide") with his cape. but first time they made it less "bat's wings like" and more base-jump. but yeah, how can he walk after that ? 😅 Even the Batmobile, it's a normal car with a hull and a rocket! I don't remember wihich car it is. but i'ts a real car that you can scrap !! (like the original batmobile in the comics).So honestly, Lan could have this one !! way less thank looking but effective for what we need. (BTW, I love his armour in this one. maybe my favourite of all. finally a bulletproof who don't slow him down) We lost Tiên when Catwoman kissed Batman, I repeat we lost her !! 🤣🤣 The first time I really find the riddler creepy and extremely dangerous is this interrogation.. "fight club this shit" well...YEAH !! 🤣 Batman guiding people with his flare through the darkness....my favourite scene of the movie.... despite wondering if he can do something or if he's a good guy, he actually help them and became the symbol of hope he's meant to be. Pattinson said "my batman is not a hero" (even Tiên said it), this scene prooved the contrary. For laughing like that and speaking of clown...it must be the joker! "they never get together" yep, never...well they saw each other, work together, have some nights together... but never expect them to have a steady relationship (except maybe the open ending of darknigh rise). For the conclusion to go with Tiên's quotes, Pattinson said one day (and it made a big effect on media): "My Batman isn't a hero" And just for that, he understood Batman. Batman is not a Superman, Symbol of hope shining in the sky. He's the vengeance, the night and the fear. he's here to scare criminal and because of that (even in comics) Batman always said he's not a good man. (in "Batman Hush" comics) "Deep down, Clark's (superman) essentially a good person... and deep down, I'm not." But for superman, he respect him a lot because he' s JUST a human who manage to be Superman's equal with his witt and gadget, but also depsise his trauma and superman said "I'm lucky to have him at my side". Batman can Never see the good in him, only the suffering he bring and the darkness he always play so near to do his mission. and this movie is the only one who show it so clearly !! And the movie itself show Batman is wrong. the secne were he lead people with his flare in the flewd building prove it. He didn't see himself a hero, but he did become a symbol of hope the people is ready to follow! (And the more I write about Batman not liking himself where others do....the more I realized I have the same mindset.....) But it bring the on big problem for me: We don't have Bruce Wayne. We only have Batman. We don't have the mask of the rich playboy buying entire hotels because he can and being charming whith every women or even financing city's projact to help to improve the situation. Here Bruce and batman are really the same (so much, I wonder how not many other peoples guesse his identity at this point). For the rest, yes his equipement is less impressive and feel more scrap than anyhting. but it show 1)how brilliant and intelligent he is, 2)a more grounded Batman. (maybe even more than Nolan's) And yes, he's not "build" very impressive for a batman. but that's alright... he do the job nonetheless! And I love Lan's "we are in it". Tiên as catwoman ?? 🤔 and Lan as Harley quinn ?? the more I see you, I think it would fit better to say that if we mixed you two together...we got Harley quinn... 😂. But interresting point of view on the movie ! thanks for sharing it. For comics intell the Riddler (or Edward Nigma.... yes... E.Nigma...😅) In french, we call him the "Sphinx". (a reference to the greek mythological creature who ask enigma and kill those who can't answer 😉. yes the french name is more badass for me!) In comics, Child with a very big IQ in a bad familly (drunk father and so on...), he became arrogant and eager to prove his superiority intelectual. (for him, "he's the smartest, most knowledgeable and most intelligent and everyone must accept it!"). So when Batman begin, his play was to kill or rob and leave clues with enigma for Batman (exactly like here). Batman always finished to catch him up and escape his traps (leaving riddler screaming batman cheated! 😅) and so on... I think it's the first move I saw where his story is central. either way, we run after him in a side quest or he work with other. He can be dangerous. Not as deadly as Joker because he need the public to prove his higher IQ, but still. and yes, the "?" is his symbol (he even have a stick with one as weapon in his older costums) and making the riddler a "copycat" of Batman but in a very violent way, was a wonderfull idea. And his look in the movie is very good. He doesn't look like much, but he's dangerous. just like in the comics. he look silly and not physically dangerous, but actually deadly. The Penguins (in comics) Oswald Cobblepot (or "Oz"), born in a wealthy familly (mainly criminal) but malformed, making move strangely and little hunckack (hence his nickname of penguin). his familly lost it all because of the Wayne (the why can differ depend on the comics). Since, he tried to rebuild his familly empire as a gangster and one of the most sadistic one. his favourites weapons: all kind of umbrella with guns or swords in it !! Nothing to say much. A deformed Gangster leader who love penguins and rule when the "normal ganster" are out. Not dangerous by himself for Batman, but as he's rich he can hire lot of super-criminal ,like Bane... but can't say much more whith what we have here. Really a good time. The second movie "The Batman" with Pattinson (Tiên's crush 😉) should be in cinema in .... february 2028.... 😨We gonna wait a little. but the casting is already out and is very promising. I tend to agree. He don't have the physical build for it. but the way he act as Batman, top 3 with Bale and Affleck for me. (if we count only life-action movies, but I can't decide which one is which number). but Unlike Bale or Affleck, he's the weakest Bruce wayne. So ... he's lucky the story go more as a investigation by batman than an overall batman's story. either way, it would worked way less good. For short: Very good Batman , awfull Bruce Wayne. So thank the movie need more Batman than Bruce!

I'll have to agree with you on that point entirely. They should NOT have shown him without a shirt on.... Although I do understand it was to showcase his multiple physical scars. Still, he doesn't have the physicality to make his action scenes believable.... I'm a former MMA practitioner, and from my own personal real world personal experience. Technique will get you only so far ~ As evidence I offer you Exhibit A: Eddie Hall vs. 2 MMA guys. 1 Big Powerful Man vs. 2 Very Skilled Opponents. He dominated them 💪🏋️ 🤼‍♂️🤸‍♂️😵

Well that's your version of Batman depending when you were born I guess. Mine will always be Michael Keaton and Christian Bale. I would also believe that the majority would agree with me on who is the better version of Batman. My hatred is more towards Hollywood than this version of Batman just because how many more Batman movie do we need right?

Well, thanks to Tien and Lan I finally made it through this movie. I tried 3 times before and bailed. I’m so tired of dark and gritty Batman movies. I’m not saying it has to be as light and corny as the Adam West Batman movie, or the Joel Schumacher movies, but man there has to be an inbetween. Like the 2025 Superman movie. Not too dark, not too light. I did appreciate the detective aspect. But this was a slog. No offense to those who like it.

This is a great Batman film. In this film, Bruce Wayne had been batman for only 2 years. Only comic book readers will know that Batman's FIRST appearance was in "Detective Comics" in 1939 and one of Batman's monikers is The World's Greatest Detective. And this was the first time a film highlighted Batman's skills as a detective and I hope it continues in the sequel. Which won't be out until 2028. It was also the first time any Batman film depicted him wearing black face paint around his eyes with his cowl (mask) off. In all the other Batman films, they're shown to wear the black face paint, but when they remove their cowls, it's mysteriously gone. LOL This film is NOT a part of the DCEU. 👍
