This whole episode is showing us they're (the 86) are still haunted by their past. -Eugene has the same ideals/want to protect family as Shin's older brother. Also, the book "The Headless Knight" is also Shin's favorite book as a kid with his brother. -Theo finds himself in the courtyard of the Republic of San Magnolia, they're old embassy. Towards the end of that scene talking Anju, you can see a couple in that looks exactly like Anju and Daiya, show us what they could have had. -Kurena sees her Juggernaut in the military parade. Raiden still tries to manipulate his juggernaut fron the middle seat of the truck. -In the dream sequence with Shin, he's still the headless Reaper, the clothes line and scarf once again depict separating his head from his body.
