Well, seems like woman were the only one always being nice to Sanji as a child. So makes sense that he adores them. This and growing up mostly with men seemingly shapes Sanji into what he is today. And even if he is sometimes overbearing, he still accepts a firm no (at least for some time), and stops being perverted in serious moments.

Sanji’s backstory reminds me a lot of the movie The Man in the Iron Mask with Leonardo DiCaprio. Both are princes who were locked away by their own families and forced to wear an iron mask because they were seen as a problem. Even Sanji’s old nickname “Mr. Prince” makes the similarities more interesting....
