Devlog #38: Slow & Steady (Patreon)

Ending 3 out of 10 is done! And now that I know what an harem ending looks like, let's talk about it.The Dream and Dragons ending, much like the solo endings, will be a small, contained story of a specific moment in the life of MC, specifically when she reunites with all the girls after almost dying. There's a bunch of relatively quick sex scenes, some hugging, some tears and then the hope for a happy future.Said future, until one specific moment that will act as a sequel setup, will be shown in renders while MC tells us what happened to her girlfriends and friends (wanna know what happened to the cat if you didn't bring him along? This is where its shown).I'm not too incredibly thrilled about doing it that way, but it's the more elegant solution I could thing of.The ending itself has about 250 renders, a small scene with every girl (or a threesome if you are with the right ones) and probably some of the best renders I've ever done.This is now the part where I rant about the technical limitations of DAZ.Putting a bunch of stuff on the screen is, obviously, quite taxing for a PC. Putting 7 girls in all at once is dumb and should never be done. But it was necessary for certain shots and to convey the "scope" of the full harem of girls, so I just grit my teeth and armed myself with a lot of patience.Then my patience ran out and I decided to make an investment.Using the money from this here page (thank you all for your support ♥) I got a third monitor.This allows me to have a bigger viewport on my main screen and have a second one open on the side, meaning I save a bunch of time (and frustration) from not having to switch constantly back and forth between different angles when posing scenes. Also my PC is good enough that I can keep a Iray preview always opened while working on the less complicated scenes.It's taking me a bit to adjust to this new workflow, but I'm already seeing the results. I went from struggling to pose 20 renders in a day to comfortably keep a steady rhythm of 30-35 per day.So, now one of the two difficult endings is done (the Legend one should be easier since I won't have to make the same renders multiple times but with different girls) and things should speed up quite a bit. If I can pull out 3 solo endings by the end of next week I'll be in good shape and will have made up the time lost last week.But now I'm beat, so I'll leave you with some hot girls in bikinis and hit the bed.
