Devlog #66: New Year and 2nd Anniversary Project (Patreon)

After forcing myself to just chill for a week (and blazing through Hades 2) I'm back to work.My agenda these past couple of days has been setting up things to begin working on the 2nd Anniversary Project tease in AR2 Chapter 3: "Actual Roommates Gaiden: The Woman Who Lost Her Cat".

The title is an obvious play on "Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name" and the goal of this short VN is going to be the same as that game's: let the original MC have one last wild ride to punch some fools (and bang some hotties).The premise? Someone kidnapped the cat (catnapped?). Who? Why? How? All questions that will be answered with a fight on top of a skyscraper.

The other goal is to give a bit of "closure" to a certain relationship that I always felt was left a bit forgotten at the end of AR1: Violet and Janice.I want to have a moment for the two to just sit down and talk. Janice was an important part of AR1's story, but the plans for AR2 led her to get sidelined in the endings, something I wanna try and "fix" a bit with this short story.

And so, Mama Lawrence will go on the hunt for the kidnapper, accompanied by her assistant, her trusty Bathilda and, later, joined by Janice and her abs.

Waiting patiently for them in Night City (yes, I'll keep ripping off EVERYTHING in this story) is the culprit, a ghost(?) from her past and her henchwomen.Technically speaking, this is going to be a mostly linear VN (bordering on the Kinetic), where the only planned choices are who to bang. And there will be banging.Kim and Janice are the obvious prime candidates for some HLA, but there will also be a point where our heroine will need info from a young NC "fixer"... no, not Rogue.

Planned release date is the 17th of February (I mean, it's the anniversary date... that's the point), so coming the new year I'll have to bust my ass like never before.Wish me luck!
