Devlog #80: Life and Wind (Patreon)

Since this was another chill week where nothing particularly notable happened, I wanna try do something a bit different and just... chat. Get you all up to speed with the happenings in my life since the last time I did something like this was... almost a year and a half ago?If you don't care about any of that and are here only to know how the update is going:I'm at 960 renders, done 5 lewd scenes out of 8 and I'm about to start number 6, things are going well. Hi! How are you?Usually when a dev starts a post by saying "let's talk about my life" is because something went horribly wrong... but not this time! I'm genuinely doing great!

Consider this post a sort of "victory lap". You all are helping me build a good life, and that's something that should be celebrated.I seriously can't stress enough how lucky I am to have all of y'all supporting me, allowing me to make this my job.

This is not an easy life, though definitely easier than a normal 9-to-5, but your support and kind messages help me power through even the darker moments and stave off the burnout.Thanks to your monetary support and the Steam sales, I've managed to build up a decent "get the fuck out of here" fund, giving me hope for the first time in a loooooong while.

For the first time since covid, I was even able to spend some money on myself! Buying something I don't need to survive or to work. (For the record: a Switch 2 and a 50" TV).All these "happy feels" are reflecting on my work. I honestly can't remember the last time I was ahead of schedule working on an update... probably AR1 Chapter 2?

So, yeah.... I'm happy and content, thanks for asking! More importantly, I'm excited for what's to come.July is gonna be a good month for you, reading this on your screen. Chapter 5 is gonna drop and Flip has announced he'll put out the first release of Summer in the City Season 2. Plus, you might be able to see Violet pop up to help some friends out in a completely unrelated VN, one with dragons and valleys...

After that, I'll get some good sunshine and beaches in August, before diving into the Season Finale for AR2, where shit will hit the fan.But, for now, there's still work to be done on Chapter 5: "Engage!", work that I will return to tomorrow.
