Black Cat model brings to out attention that sadly women are suffering from hair loss too.

It might be the issue of early versions since devs fixed a lot since launch or they might used some special material or rendering technique. In any case, you can see some bald spots even in some gameplay and cutscenes.

The model is having this issue and it is very prominent. I read that some modders, who used this model also struggled with this hair (mod for RE4 just uses PS4 hair for example), you can see these bold spots in some of the amazing renders like in some of the Laik's works. And yeah... I guess it was my turn...

It is clear that this sculp supposed to be translucent since texture is heavily rely on alpha channel and some hairs are underneath the sculp. But... why are those bald spots exists...I rebaked this texture dozens of time, but nothing helped.

Well, Batfeck to the rescue.

I manually redid some of the UV maps of hair. And I manually editing texture.

I might have another look at it, since it just might miss some hair strands, but this is very difficult hair to work with and I've already spend several days on figuring things out.

Honestly, sculpting faces takes less time and more enjoyable then figuring out structure and fixing the meshes... And I thought this one is gonna be and easy one... :)

So yeah!

Continuing our Cat Month with another Cat Noir.
