I was not aware that patreon had its own video service I always thought you had to use a third party service. Will you be switching your older videos to patreon?

2026-09-26 20:00 I gotta say this man, I love your art, learned about you less than a week ago and subbed immediately because of how awesome it is... But... I don't know if you're planning to solely upload vids to this Patreon video player and no longer provide downloads for content, or switching all the older content to being solely this format, but either of those are the case, then I'm out. I don't really have interest in paying of a Patreon sub where all the content requires me to either be on the Patreon website or Patreon app anytime I want to access that, or forces me to use any site or app to access it, at that. Not only that, you need to realize that wouldn't not only be bad for your subs, but for you too, as for whenever this new video viewer gets cracked (And it will be within like a week tops, guaranteed), it's going to cause leaks to get so much worse for you, as it will make it so much easier for scrappers to steal once the protection on the video player is inevitably broken through. There's a reason most artist on Patreon don't like to link the downloads to the Patreon post, and put link it through third party file hosting sites, because it being on the actual Patreon site just makes it that much easier for leakers to scrape. Using this is genuinely a mistake unless your intent is to make scraping and leaks of your content easier, which I guarantee that isn't what you intend. EDIT: So, apparently this is already cracked, and has been for a good while. Apparently this video things been out for a good while. I do not understand, did they just discontinue it for a good while or something? I have found evidence of this video player existing as far back as 4 years ago, but I've never actually seen anyone I sub on Patreon to ever use it. Super weird.

I mean, even if you manage to create a trick to protect the video files, that's still doesn't change the fact that it would be a huge loss of income, because next to no one is going to want to pay for a NSFW patreon sub that is "Streaming only" where they are forced to either go on the patreon website on their computer or go on the patreon app to access the content they are paying for, and doing so is going to cause your sub count to SEVERELY DROP once they realize what's going on. I get that you are just trying to figure out a way to stop leaks, but you gotta just realize they are gonna happen whether you like it or not. Even if this "fix" you're coming up with does anything, it will be cracked within a week, tops. Same with any fixes you come up with after. This "solution" you think is a good idea is like some Ubisoft or EA level anti-consumer shit, and it's NOT the answer, and is just gonna drive away your fan base. NO ONE wants to pay for a NSFW patreon sub where they aren't allowed immediate access to download the files for the art they are paying to see. It doesn't really matter if your stuff gets leaked anymore or not if everyone's practically stopped paying for your subs due to not being allowed to download files they are technically paying monthly for. Do this, and I guarentee that the majority of your sub base is gonna cancel their subs, and after this, if they even bother with your art anymore, they'll just get it whatever free way they can, like the through the re-uploads on the various rule34 sites.

He clearly does not care. Honestly feel entitled to a refund but clearly that also does not fit his idea. Even though clearly the downloads were a thing. Everything you said is correct though and his loss sadly.
