game project question thingie (Patreon)

so ive been thinking about it a lot lately and ive decided i do wanna keep making games and stuff even after mommy manhandler and bbb2

the next issue i have tho is wondering what kinda games i should/could be making

i think itd be cool to have more brave bangers games that use more characters and focus on stories and fighting and stuff (while still having lotsa sex ofc)

but compared to mommy manhandler, the bb and hiroto games didnt do anywhere near as well, so i feel like maybe only games that are explicitly about just sex are the only ones thatll do well

do u think theres any point in doing like a proper rpg or beat em up or something like that and really taking it seriously if the game isnt centered around sex/a specific kink thing (like mommy manhandler being a milf game), or do u think those kindsa projects will just never do that great

Personally, I’m a huge fan of bbb and hhh, more than the visual novel stuff. As for whether the numbers will be good without sex, they might not be as high. The actual game parts of your games are really solid and I’m super excited for bbb2, but with your audience it may not have as many downloads- especially if it isn’t linked on a public site.

I think that if you wanna do a game with still a lot of sex and still have the stories in it, going rpg might be the way to go. Most people now a days are much more open to playing those kinds of games and doing a story around them is easy because it's kind of like a visual novel.

Boneyard

I played with BBB and HHH and had fun. I think some people just don't appreciate actual mechanics to get to the porn. Don't try to satisfy everyone, just focus on what you like.

I do think it can work, some of my favourite games are adult rpg games like The last Sovereign and Noblesse Obligue. The thing is just that it might not appeal to the same audience as your current games. And the more your project focuses on the game mechanics and story, then those game mechanics and story need to be very very good. People are pretty forgiving when something has porn they like, but the more something stands between them and their porn, then it better be really worth your time. So it can work, but you'll need to put a ton of effort into those other aspects of the game if you want them to be a bigger focus while also being well received.

I heavily fw every game you’ve made, i really like the rpg aspects and i like actually working for the lewd stuff. Unfortunately not everyone enjoys that some people just want lewd immediately.

Criss Cyanide

I don't know if I'd say RPG + Adult Content is a risk in and of itself, just look at some of the really popular ones but the balance between the RPG and the Adult can cause an interest loss. Even if some are okay with the Adult content not being handed out on a Gold Platter many are not, attention spans and all that. Theme-wise milfs aren't exactly lacking in popularity and you've got some of the best so my honest suggestion if you wanted to make something that's more RPG consider having stuff to keep players engaged with the adult content in tandem with the non-adult content like In Battle adult content (Yes In Battle interactions can be strictly the Player and their Companions a-la a harem) and if it has Party Members then being able to engage with them easily as you traverse the world can keep people enagaged and coming back, an Affinity System of some sort.
